Hey guys

I'd like to paint several of my Imperial ships like e.g. my TIE / SFs in either the greyish or blueish stock paint that the TIE Figher LN or Bommers are sold with.

Has anybody of you an idea how I could get my hands on the base color these models use?

I feel the trick is about Citadel Shadow Grey as base. But not tested it yet.

Vallejo Model Color Field Blue is pretty fitting.

The Imperial ships all tend to be slightly different shades - your TIEs won't match your TIE Defender which won't match your TIE Advanced - so when I did this I just picked a grey and painted them all using that colour, regardless of if they were already close to that colour or not.

I use Administratum Grey as the base (from Citadel), wash it black with a thinned down Nuln Oil wash, then highlight back with Administratum Grey.

I'm slowly working through my fleet, picking the ships I use most first. Already got a TIE Bomber and TIE Phantom, I'll be working on an Omega Leader next
