Twin Troopers Podcast: Captain Terro

By dietz057, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

Great Episode! Hard to say anything more about this figure. Howewer I don't get where do You see the diference in timing between playing survival instincts and cavalary charge, since they are both played at the start of activation and last until the end of the round. I would maybe add one more thing - my problem with Terro is, that in most of my games he is a number one target for Price on their heads, which makes it very risky to fully capitalise on his potencial, because loosing PoTH + celebrate Terro can easily cost You a game. Still I L O V E HIM!

Do people run Price on Their Head in your meta? That's super crazy to me because I don't even think I've ever looked at that card. It's defintely not awful just kinda meh.

I like Terro too, though I only take him after I've already got two eJets (but I guess that's more a comment on their awesomeness, rather than Terro's weakness). He's not the strongest offensively, but I do like (as you guys pointed out in the podcast) how he forces the issue and can cause your opponent to have to adjust. Thanks for putting out quality content!

Hey @Szycha,

I may have tripped over my words when I was speaking - so just to clarify, the timing difference between Survival Instincts and Cavalry Charge is beginning of round vs. beginning of activation. If your opponent has Initiative and you're holding Cavalry Charge, Terro may take a few attacks while the card is in your hand. In contrast, Terro would have the Survival Instincts bonus immediately. Hopefully that clears things up. Sorry if I misstated it in the episode! Thanks for listening!

@ryanjamal,

Thank you for listening! We definitely wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't for the good feedback!

Yeah they do, and with some great resulsts. Think about surprises like 10 points c-3po 12 points greedo (PoTH + celebrate) 15 points Terro etc. That the kind of advantage is REALLY hard to overcome in 60 minutes match. On top of that our scum stayed loyal to their fat boss, so combined with nefarious gains it really pushes it over the edge...

I thought so, but in this case I am afraid, that you play it wrong, because survival instincts IS NOT played at the start of the round, but at he start of activation, just like Cav. Charge. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSAgglH8ptzwBT3SspvFiMXuqbc8SKMFQI3kuEWte9XYA9HNKPnTA

OMG, thank you so much! I must have been equating survival instincts with fuel upgrade. Ha, I was so sure it was beginning of round, it's embarrassing. I'll write up a little piece in the podcast post explaining the mistake. Thanks!

I listened to this episode this morning. Great stuff! I'm really enjoying these shorter pieces highlighting a single figure and delving into the details deeper than just the specs on the card. The frequency at which you guys are putting these out while not sacrificing quality is to be commended. Thank you!
