'Oicunn'

By Akondo, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I've been out of the game for a bit. Was wondering if Oicunn is any good in today's meta.

Captain Oicunn — VT-49 Decimator 42
Determination 1
Inspiring Recruit 1
Rebel Captive 3
Tactical Jammer 1
Dauntless 2
Ship Total: 50
Sienar Specialist — TIE Aggressor 17
Twin Laser Turret 6
Lightweight Frame 2
Ship Total: 25
Sienar Specialist — TIE Aggressor 17
Twin Laser Turret 6
Lightweight Frame 2
Ship Total: 25

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Something i would like to try out. Although, i would switch inspiring recruit for Intel agent. If you are playing the bump game, might as well take full advantage.

Oicunn + TLTs is definitely a solid build in the current meta from what I've seen. The list I've seen is Predator+Gunner on Oicunn though.

Tactical Jammer doesn't play well with LWF, it'll just replace the LWF bonus unless they're throwing 4+ dice at you, I'd drop that for something else.

Tactical jammer is pretty much a waste. I actually think a list like this could be a good spot for Hux. You're not rolling defence Dice on Oicunn anyway and if you've managed to stay bumped and reduce incoming fire, and dish out an (almost gauranteed) damage, despite Bumping, that's pretty cool. Giving a focus to the Agressors so they can spend one on an attack and save the other for defence makes them live much longer too.

TIE Aggressor: Sienar Specialist (17)
Twin Laser Turret (6)
Lightweight Frame (2)

Iam not sure hux is the way to go with only 4 green moves, you want to be as unpredictable as possible with oicunn and hux really wants to be used every turn

I get your point but really, even if you are blocked and you bump it doesn't matter as you will have caused a damage and have Dauntless to Hux.

Id rather this on oicunn . Then if you bump you can bump again with daredevil and moves are less predictable . Only problem is its 2 points over ☹

I've been playing an Oicunn with Omega Leader and Countdown casually, and it's been a lot of fun. Haven't gotten to test it out at a tournament yet. Not expecting to arc dodge with the barrel roll, but it can add in that clutch range one attack when you need it.

Oicunn (42), Expert Handling (2), Experimental Interface (3), x2 Inspiring Recruit (1), Intel Agent (1), Dauntless (2)

Omega Leader (21), Comm Relay (3), Juke (2)

Countdown (20), Title (0), LWF (2)

I would advice you to edit the header ASAP. Lets keep the Holocaust far far away from SW.

Nothing to do with politics player

Edited. Thanks a lot.

About Oicunn I really like one Fleet Officer supporting two agile and nimble TIEs. But I fly 95% casual only

I've tried playing Oicunn lists, be prepared to do a good job countering the 4 forward cruise missile alpha. 15 modified dice against 0 agility has been pretty crippling in my experience.

Big O is pretty much one of my favorite pilots. I think decis are in trouble in the alpha strike department but if Big O can bump you've got a shot.

I like him with strikers. I think striker aggressor deci should be great.

BoShek crew ? Has anyone tried that card?

With Intel Agent, look at the dial, then you get to decide if BoShek activates.

It should work. Add intimidation on Oicunn.

My fav oicunn is

I've been toying with something similar after I faced Nym with TLT/Minemapper/Clusters and 2 TLT Y-Wings. I've been considering running the Aggressors without LWF on the assumption the Deci will be the main target, swooping into battle. This frees up 4 points. In your list this also means you might get more use out of Tactical Jammer. With the points I would be very tempted to replace Insipiring Recruit with Gunner. Gunner seems very effective on the Deci when I've played against it (I've previously fallen into the Expose trap instead!).
