I'm unsure if you can and I don't want find out the hard way. I'm assuming I can't bring my obviously bomb tokens or other things like that. Any help is appreciated.
Edited by SassyPigLatinCan you bring x wing miniatures on a plane?
I don't think plastic space ships and cardboard tokens are treated as a security risk. Check the TSA website, it should have definitive answers for you though.
Edited by rubberduckPlastic minis are fine. Be more concerned with damage or theft than security. I've flown international into the US with some in the past, but I took them carry on to be safe.
If it's that big a concern, you may want to ship your stuff ahead of you via post or a courier service. You can insure your items against loss or damage, and they should be there when you arrive if you plan it right.

Unless you go around telling people you have a bomb (token) in your bag, you should be fine. The fact that it's called a bomb doesn't actually change what it is.
Thank you everyone for your help.
@SassyPigLatin Thread is a bit old, but I brought a large collection of Descent (about a hundred minis and lots of cardboard and cards) in my carry-on. It was searched, the wrapped blocks of cards wanded, but nothing confiscated or anything.
On the return trip, I put the collection in my check bag (two week trip) to avoid the albeit brief delay. There was a search notice in the suitcase, but again, everything was present. Collection is probably $400-$500 value, roughly.
One man's experience.
