Swing with her politically and take advantage of her 3 pol.
Then sac her in a different conflict to borrow something sexy.
Seems decent.
****! I like it a lot. Maybe they'll have some other sacrifice tech to combo with? Or just take advantage of it as she's on her way out.
Not Spiritcaller level good, but very close.
I could see her being a common purchase with zero fate just to run her in a political conflict and then sacrifice her after she served her purpose.
Well, someone has to say it, but congrats on the scorpion for finally wearing a kimono properly.
But yeah, she's good, and kind of scary. "I'll pull your spirit caller, thank you."

Speaking of sacrifice tech I have no idea if it was intentional but it was snuck into the Crab card spoilers replacing the link for Hida Tomonatsu. If that was an intended reference I've gotta give credit to whoever thought up that one.

The ability to wear a Kimono properly is inversely relative to the standing of the character in the Scorpion hierarchy.
This character being sac'd for their ability is directly relevant to being such a conservative dresser.
Nothing states that the card you take control of necessarily leaves play. Good Omen or Reprieve could combo to keep the act going. I hope I can steal something awesome like Serene Warrior, Doji Challenger, or Raitsugu or something lol
Spoiling the scorp cards by sneaking them into other articles is just so perfectly scorpion - I love it!
If the kimono ain't on the floor then she needs to find the door.
Cuz she's wearing it wrong.
I'm pretty sure that is a Sorpion clan saying......kind of like "a Lannister always pays their debts."

They should spoil Tsuruchi in the same way - posting his card on Hotaru's link!
She can play go with me any time!
Gonna hate seeing my ambushers bounce back.

Now if only Serene Warrior could get his act together ![]()
She's a Shosuro Actress, so I really like this mechanic as a way of representing their ability to mimic people.
What happens when she targets Kitsu Spiritcaller?
1. Sacrifice Actress.
2. Gain Spiritcaller.
3. Spiritcaller bows, brings the Actress back.
This... feels janky. It's not overpowered, but if combined with some unbow effects or triggered effects then it could quickly become so.

I see what you mean but this scenario feels somewhat self balancing to my eyes because the spiritcaller herself won't be adding anything to the fight cause she's bowed, and theres a good chance that someone playing Spiritcaller against Scorpion is going to use Spiritcaller on what may well be the only 3 drop in their graveyard, limiting how useful the Actress will actually be. Choices within choices bros...
It's not like the Actress could use her ability a second time anyway. Otherwise you could blow up Imperial Storehouse for a card, then play Rebuild and blow it up for another card on the same turn.
Actually, if she's sacrificed , then comes back into play, she's a brand new card, with a brand new ability which can be used.
I see nothing in the rules reference that indicates that leaving or entering play has any effect on the number of times per turn an ability can be used.

From the rules reference under 'Limit X':
If a card leaves play and re-enters play during the same period, it is considered a new instance of the card and there is no memory of having used the ability during the specified period. (This rule also applies to any ability with no specified limit.)

Serene Warrior isn't attending a court or any formal event, so he doesn't need to obey the formal court dress code. Old5R really forgot about it, but there is a world beyond courts, and all the super demanding and stiff rules of the court life were estabilished exactly to contrast with more relaxed non-court life. It's all about context.
For all of you talking trash about scorpion fashion choices, this is why we all poison you guys to death at your own weddings.
If "rokugan is not Japan" is enough of an excuse to justify everything else, it's enough to justify wearing a garment in a sexy way
If she were conflict character, Crab would love her, so much.
I like the built-in defense of this card. Bow her? Fine, sacrifice and get a new card. Send her home? This conflict is more important, sacrifice and get a new character.
Strong card that is hard to nullify.

If she was a conflict character most clans would try to fit her in.
