Who is coming to Gencon for Armada!

By jamie nasmyth, in Star Wars: Armada

Actually... I'm afraid I won't at the Con. I would like to go one day, but it's not in the cards at the moment.

I'm still excited at the prospect of new announcements that we should see, even if I'll be watching from home.

I'll be there.

I'll be there, driving there from St. Louis

Please live post any relevant armada announcements!

I'll be there. Driving from Ottawa

As a side note far more driving it would seem.... out of a sample of 3

I will be there, but not driving.

Even without the border crossing, that is a long drive.

Won't be making it this year, but hopefully i'll see some of you at NoVa.

if it's like last year, at least one of the Armada heats will be during the announcement and we came out of the first round talking about new ships that were showing up on our phone feeds.

Also if its like last year, phone and wifi coverage is going to be garbage, so you'll probably get the FFG announcement before anyone can actually broadcast anything unless FFG sets up their own live stream.

Does it take a while to cross the border? I was debating heading up to hamilton/Niagara Falls, wasn't sure how long it would take.

It's been years since I went through the border in Canada, and that was in Vancouver. Since the time I went they increased the security requirements, so your best bet is to check a website for travelers that's more up to date.

But even without issues, that's a 12 hour drive without traffic. Bring snacks and a lot of podcasts.

-edit- found this useful site from the Canadian government. it's currently 9pm Eastern Time in Ontario and NewYork/Michigan, and wait times range from no delay to 30-45 minutes. So it probably depends on the time you get there and how busy your crossing is.

The border doesn't usually take too long. We tend to go through Windsor - Detroit, and even though it's pretty busy, maybe a half hour on average?

It takes around 13 hours for us.

I felt like it

I will not be going. Could only justify one, and picked US Nationals.

Someone better put together a breakfast.

If I were only going for Armada I'd pick nationals too.

I will be sending a delegate. And I will not elaborate.

I will be there that Sunday. Won't be there to play much obviously, but I will be there to look for stuff for Armada..........

........and X-Wing

.........and Imperial Assault

Yeah, FFG pretty much has my budget for the con! LOL
