Do Summoned Stones treat monsters as enemy figures?

By Lightningclaw, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

This crossed my mind. I know summoned stones are *not* figures, are *not* affected by OL cards, monster abilities, and hero abilities, and I *think* they don't treat heroes as friendly figures. (Not sure on that.)

I am not disputing the intent of Terracall at all. But if stones don't treat monsters as enemy figures, by strict RAI I don't think they can actually attack anything using Terracall, since the target space has to have an enemy figure in it.

Of course, Molten Fury and Earthen Anguish are fine because the stone isn't attacking.

Weird!

They do treat monsters as enemy figures. Also, many attacks made with the summoned stones are made by the geomancer- those wouldn't be affected anyway.

@Zaltyre I think in case of Terracall it is the stone that performs the attack, using the currently equipped weapon of the geomancer.

Yes- there are indeed cases where the stone itself attacks (including terracall).

In those cases, if the stone couldn't attack monsters... it couldn't attack anyone- making terracall nonsensical.

True. I'm not saying we're all playing it wrong- just thinking it's an inconsistency in the rules. A bug, as it were.

More like a rules-lawyery loophole than anything else. Best not to poke at the seams of an FFG game too closely.

Now now, FGG rules are phenomenally consistant, once you consider the 5 years worth of FAQs, Errata, Community edits, rewordings, clarification of equivalent but different wordings to have different meanings, more FAQs, unofficial FAQs, and email responses linked on forums.

Forums that aren't even the official forums no less. ^_^
