Speculation on the rules update?

By StormKnight, in Tannhauser

There's probably been a lot of this and I've just missed it...

Anyone have ideas on what the rules update will include? The talk of changing what tokens do really has me wondering. I like Tannhauser, but I feel like the huge stack of tokens that you have to keep looking up really kill it, even with assorted printed reference sheets and token stickers. I'd love for them to be simplifying the tokens in some way to make that a lot easier, but I'm not sure I see it happening.

I'd also like to see:

All the pack options get balanced out so we don't have useless packs!

Yula and possibly Tala get a boost; they're a bit too weak as is (methinks the designers don't like female characters...)

A way to balance out heroes vs. troopers so you can mix up sides more freely.

Rushing past an enemy made feasible.

I'm wondering how overwatch will work - we've been playing with an overwatch rule where a model can use its action to go on 'Overwatch', which allows them to make a free counterattack. I worry that if overwatch interrupts movement or something like that it will really drag down play and make it very defensive.

I'd also like to see rolls made against a fixed target number instead of having to be calculated based on the target's value. The target's score is already factored in with their dice - it doesn't need to be used twice, and its much faster to roll against a fixed number. I don't see that changing either though.

ha, we are all waiting with no word yet about the rules update, deadline came and gone, we are all no waiting with baited breath

-sigh

I'm waiting impatiently. Glad I have school so I don't have to think about it as much.
