I recently was in a league where you ran 6 different lists over 12 weeks followed by a tournament at the end. I finished 13-8 for 5th out if 13 in the regular season but then went 5-1 to win the tournament. During one segment I went 3-0 with a list so that was the list I took to the tournament. Here is that list that went 8-1 overall:

• Talonbane Cobra, Attanni Mindlink, Vectored Thrusters, Black Market Slicer Tools
• Kavil, Attanni Mindlink, Dorsal Turret, Unhinged Astromech, Vectored Thrusters
• 4-LOM, Attanni Mindlink, Mist Hunter, Tractor Beam, Black Market Slicer Tools, Outlaw Tech, Electronic Baffles, Hull Upgrade.
• 99 points for a small bid.

TLDR: (little bit of a battle report and commentary on how they did)

During my 9 games, my only loss was the first tournament match that went to time and I lost by one squad point. Cobra died in 8 of the matches but inflicted at least 6 damage in every match - usually against the enemy's primary threat including one shot kills vs Fenn and Zovio and 8 damage to Dash in 2 shots - so I was never disappointed.

Kavil with Unhinged and Vectored is one slippery little SOB. Those green moves were critical at feeding tokens when the other squad mates were stressed. Even more critical was using that speed to get in front of guys and baiting them to chase him where he could use his out of arc ability to throw 3-4 focused dice turn after turn.

4-LOM with his ability, Outlaw Tech, and Electronic Baffle gave me a ridiculous amount of freedom to do any move I wanted in almost any situation. MVP went to the Hull Upgrade. Three matches finished with a one hull 4-LOM, including the semi-final*.

*I had 2 hull left vs a 2 hull Firespray and a 2 hull Pure Sabac. I had just got the crit that gives a stress after a white maneuver, flip it over with an action. Next turn I pulled a 1 hard to activate Outlaw tech for a focus, Baffled to drop the stress and barrel rolled into a range 1 on the Bounty Hunter and out of Sabacs arc. I finished the Firespray off and then next turn my opponent anticipted another 1 hard but instead I 4K-ed and he had no shot. I rolled hit focus focus and spent the token and he blanked to end it.

I think I used Black Market Slicer Tools maybe 3 or 4 times over all the matches and never did a single damage with it.

TLDR

Just before the tournament I almost dropped the hull upgrade to go with either TLT on Kavil or Hot Shot Blaster or stims on Cobra. Either way, I wanted at least the 99 point bid.
