I believe right now is a trying time for X-wing, there is a lot of pain with growth which the game is undertaking. Let me be a voice to say breathe, and lets hang in there. We are all passionate about Star Wars X-wing and wave 11 has brought out some crazy which is making a bit of a sour taste for a lot of people add to that lots of ships are not fun to fly in competitions which drips down into playing for fun, brokenness within things like HOTAC and even the FFG missions along with Epic just being broken. With every table top minis game there always seems to be changes like within life some don't work out so good and other are amazing. So don't sell everything yet, hang in there (That goes twice for a certain mynock podcast member.........) and keep shouting PEW PEW PEW.

Interestingly, there are more tournament variety popping up for the competitive sort around here. Wave limits, classic trilogy themed tournaments, etc... It's adding a bit of the fun back in for some.

My discourage is lower than ever! Currently contemplating getting back into the game. Have a lot of ships to buy to catch up if I do though. Anyone hiring? I need a better job to afford 3.5 waves of ships.

Never discouraged*. . .only sad that I did not get to play in July. OTOH, in ChiTown, you'd best be outdoors in summertime: planet of indoor time in the winter. Hopefully I can get my double fix at GenCon!

I hope all of you with your "When FFG When?" gunboat shirts have a big "Thank you FFG" banner or shirts when they finally do unveil the gunboat....

So i finally got to play the game on the table two weeks in a row at a local store instead of just giten rekd by the pros on vassal.

IT IS SO MUCH MORE FUN.

I am heading to a store championship this weekend and taking a list that is fun to fly, but not certain it will stand up to the new meta. Only flown this list once, but I know the individual ships pretty well from my past lists.

I just realized I hadn't flown Empire in a while, so I'm pulling it out and not worrying about where I place. Hopefully I win more than I lose, but it doesn't really matter. I'm guaranteed 5 games win or lose, so for $10, that means a good day no matter what.
