"Strategic" key word abuse.

By Rocmistro, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

I think I found a RAW loophole. Someone let me know if there's something in a FAQ or errata that addresses this:

"Strategic" keyword: "when you end your movement at distance 1 of 1 or more objective tokens, you may move 1 of those tokens so that it is at distance 1 of you.

Some missions require you to assign objective tokens to ships. Is there anything preventing you from moving the objective token OFF the ship to which it is assigned using the keyword above? Could be a great way to deny an opponent points for a ship he's about to destroy and get some major lawls :-)

bah. Never mind. Nothing to see here. Of course, after I posted this, I found a better search return using "Google" than the forum search tool.

For those who may be looking for an answer, the RRG reads:

• When a ship is chosen as an objective ship, indicate this by placing an objective token next to its ship card .

i.e. not on the ship itself.

Pity the fool who puts his ship cards too close to the table edge.

There will be blood

Now this would be the real coup: Move an objective token OFF the map and onto your ship card. Win that Intel sweep.

I still think my favorite is tossing Firelane tokens under ISD's and watching the other player weep when they realize the 30 pt swing per token....

Thanks to Squall you can now, as 1st player, totally steal just about any token from the 2nd player :D
