Considering the Old Core Set just went back to the printers about a month ago, I don't think so. 
At least no ver 2.0

That's obviously the Episode XIII ships, basically as indicated in the thread's OP. Those cannot be released or previewed before Force Friday, and we know at least 2 of them already:
- Kylo Ren's "TIE Silencer"
- The "Resistance A-Wing"
It remains to be seen if FFG can fit the "Resistance Bomber" onto a non-Epic-base...although, heck, for all I know this will be the first movie that gets an Epic-scale release to go with it (now wouldn't that be something!) While it's longer than the Ghost, it is shorter than the Gozanti, so...hard to say where they'll go with it.
As with Rogue One and Episode VII - these will just be added to the previously-announced Wave XII ships (which we'll be getting this Friday).

The original Core Set was still sold alongside The Force Awakens Core Set though, and it's interesting to note that the TFA box set has been the only surprise Force Friday release by FFG so far. We may still see a rebranded "The Last Jedi" version with updated "How To Play" booklet and "Rules Reference" section.
Or, as @Odanan suggests, we may see a "Corellian Conflict" style, Last Jedi campaign pack, which could include the above plus copies of errata'd cards.
One things for sure - FFG has been holding off on a new FAQ/balance changes until after GenCon and the North American Championships. Maybe if there is a surprise Force Friday relase it could be used as a vehicle for the rules update people have been speculating about/waiting for?

Not Last Jedi! Screw the new Trilogy.
I was thinking in a campaign along the lines of Rogue One or even Partisan-centered. X-Wing Blue Squadron or Partisan repaint: any of those would make me super happy.
Was talking to some people the other day and one of the guys i know; suggested something awesome (least i thought it was)
How about a new Core Set for TLJ that reverses the format;
- Kylo Ren's "TIE Silencer" x1
- The "Resistance A-Wing" x2
And have debrii in the box; instead of rocks.

I don't see this happening, but it could be really cool.
I'm still hoping for some R1 stuff before the Last Jedi batch.

Yeah, another core set with TLJ ships is an option, but I don't see a 2nd edition game being launched if they are currently reprinting the 1st edition.
Campaign set would be the best option in my opinion.

Not inherently a problem; after all, there's a ship much-used by the Empire for customs patrol, escort and smuggling interdiction that I believe I have heard players on this forum request occasionally.

Seems there is a good chance for a ground war game... please be in scale to x-wing and compatible! As long as the vehicles are in scale, the troops can be a sliding scale.
