Squadron Vs Squadron

By Theadjectivenoun, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

I just bought the game and the game seems fun and a bit more in-depth then X-wing Miniatures. But I have a question. When attacking a squadron with another squadron. The receiving squadron has no defense against a ttacks and if the player rolls hits it suffers that many hits?

For "generic" squadrons, that's right.

Unique "ace" squadrons do have defense tokens that work just like the ones for ships.

Also clarify just in case that only simple hits damage squadrons, the critical hits doesn't, so with a single blue die for example you have only 50% chance of hitting. But as DiabloAzul stated, the generic squadrons doesn't have any way to defend themselves against that damage

I'm also new and would like to ask a special subtopic to this:

If the defender is an ace squadron and the attacker rolls an accuracy symbol, does this disable one of my defense tokens?

Yes.

@Ardaedhel is correct. Normally accuracy symbols rolled against non-ace squadrons do nothing, but against aces they can be quite helpful. Just make sure that the attacker specifies which of the two they're locking down if they roll only a single accuracy. It can be important with mixed-token aces (scatter+brace) or dual-token aces (braces) when one of the tokens is already exhausted.
