NEW Rule Ideas...

I came up with some rules I thought were worth considering.
Affinity : New keyword called Affinity. If a card contains the Affinity keyword, it works in concert with a card already deployed. Cards with Affinity have a deploy cost -2. Example: Mon Calamari Cruiser-Deploy Cost 8. Affinity: Admiral Akbar. If you can spot the Affinity card associated with the cruiser, it's deploy is 6. Affinity can be between characters, weapons, abilities, supports, locations, etc. Multiple cards with the same Affinity do NOT stack.
I n Construction: Support cards can now be deployed with reduced costs, but delayed use. When deploying a support card (with or without affinity) you can place up to 3 resource tokens on the card, each reducing the cost to deploy by 1. The card will be deployed in and remain in exhausted state until you have removed the last resource token. This also works in concert with Affinity. For example, if you were deploying a Mon Calamari Cruiser with Akbar you could deploy it for 3 resource cost, with the reduced Affinity cost of 6 and adding 3 construction resource tokens. Each turn in the Upkeep phase you remove a resource token from the support card. Additionally, in the Action phase, you may exhaust a character to remove 1 resource token from a support card.
I think these rules will allow for larger deployments of "capital" cards, like a Star Destroyer, Mon Calamari Cruiser, an AT-AT...even the Death Star. If you created Grand Moff Tarkin and a Death Star-Affinity Grand Moff Tarkin (Deploy 12) that would be awesome. Other cards could work together with these, like Kuat Drive Yards, with text such as: If you control, increase In Construction to 5 tokens. Create a Death Star Trooper card whose text reads Exhaust to remove 2 construction tokens. With all that, controlling Kuat Drive Yards and spotting Tarkin, deploy the DS for 5 cost (-2 for his Affinity and 5 resource tokens). If he rolls with two DS Troopers, the DS could be done in 2 turns.
It would also be cool to allow capital cards to be played with 2 dice. DS should have 2 dice...right?

Great ideas! I'd also like to have Modifications, which are a new card type that's like an upgrade but gets played on vehicle supports!

Affinity looks promising and not promising at the same time.
Promising - cause it opens new decks.
Unpromising - cause it ties specific cards together. Big CCG (compared to LCG that do it quite often) tend to not do it. Old Star Wars card game from Decipher, if i recall correctly, was abusing that specific-cards-combos (to the point where sometimes they were unusable without one another) and it was somehow a disaster. DuelMasters and Yu-gi-oh tends to do it sometimes, and MtG has <10 such a comboes in its 30 years history.
