I'll be spending the entire afternoon scowling at my relatives pretending they are dirty Crane. Not jealous at all.

Out of curiosity what did those of you who got an invite do?

I thought mine was pretty decent, got my girlfriend to dress up as Kachiko and used photoshop to place the card around her. Accompanied by the following witty banter:

Seconded. Tell them that this is a once in a lifetime event that you had to win an invite to. Which you promptly did, owing to some form of pimpery on your part.

Made me a dragon cake with scultped icing like the fancy dragon mon with the jewels cause that one is my favourite. Also made 5 cupcakes for the rings and iced them too. I would share a picture but they're both too big for the boards =]

Mine was a photograph of some Crane paraphenalia and a couple of my 40k Eldar figures which I painted and posed in a Crane scheme (I modelled my Wraithlord in a Dueling pose) and Tweeted that with an exposition art haiku:

Mashing up genres
Wraithlord in Crane colours kills
With one perfect strike

Invites have been going out one by one since this morning. Do not assume just yet that you do not have one. I believe they still have more to go.

I will be in London too, got the invite! Looking forward to it!

At least I got a good screen saver for my phone out of it...

Now, if your gf was dressed up like Hotaru and pining over Kachiko and her duty, you would have been the first with an invite. Plus another for the gf too.

For those who actually got the invite, was it just that or did it include other stuff like the tickets? I'd imagine even if I got an invite I doubt I could get enough $$$ for the plane, hotel, and other essentials in such a short time.

No, but that was already reported on the event page. You get a core box for free and several promo things. And I can play the game I love so much again against people I know from the old times.

What is all this about? Initially I thought it was just looking for players in the London area, but it looks like some kind of event is going on?

Did you apply via Facebook? If so, try checking your account on a PC or laptop rather than via a smartphone. I checked my phone throughout the day yesterday but received nothing.. and then my wife explained to me that if you are messaged by someone who isn't one of your 'Facebook friends' then It won't show up on the App. So I logged on via a laptop, and sure enough there it was. Look for a notification that says 'Other'. Can't promise it, but worth a go...

I loved your Dragon cake photo. My wife also said it was definitely her favourite of all the entries on show (although that's probably the only time she's ever been anything more than completely disinterested in my "geek stuff").

No invite for my Phoenix guitar player, unless there are secret voids in the facebook messenger I am unaware of.

I actually did get an invite, but it wasn't until later that day - I am delighted!

Interested to know what kind of decks we will be able to build. All will be revealed at GenCon!

To piggyback off of this...

I got an invite via Twitter! Whoo! But some things I wanna really emphasize:

-If you applied via Facebook, make sure you check the 'Message Requests' tab to see if anyone has attempted to contact you

-If you applied via Twitter, a representative from FFG/Asmodee will have begun to follow your page; I did not see my invite until I followed them back .

-If would be a huge shame if people got invites and never knew it.

Still hoping I get one of what I would assume would be redistributed invites can't stop watching twitter.

Glad for all my old friends that got in should be spectating if not playing

Thanks man, and to your wife too(who is kinda reminding me of my own other half lol) and were you the brudda that had that pan of orange and red stuff and shaped it into a phoenix? Cause that was brilliant!

Yep. A combination of sweet potato, rice, red pepper, turmeric and lemon...

cant believe I missed the application for this as I could have made it

I was very honored to recieve an invitation to this event, especially as someone forwarded my name to be nominated for an invite... so, doubly honored.

I hope to see many familiar and new faces in London.
