Second, since searching these forums for many words/phrases returns soooo many posts...

When a monster has an effect that affects players "In Arkham" does this include expansion boards(towns?). So a cthonian in Dunwich, when it "moves" does its effect occur to players only in arkham, only in dunwich, or both/all boards? And if it does affect players in all boards does this mean the character...oh what's his name...the reporter who draws two location cards...does his ability work in all boards as well?

If an effect, monster, card, etc says "In Arkham" it includes any expansion boards being used, just not investigators in Other Worlds (or LiTaS). Can't help you on the other question, though.

I've always played with Darrell Simmons this way. Even on another board, he draws two encounter cards and chooses one. The Dunwich rulebook (pag 5) says:

The Phrase “in Arkham” on Cards
Cards that refer to “Arkham” also apply to locations and areas in Dunwich. So, for example, an Environment card that adds +1 to Fight checks and subtracts –1 from Will checks in Arkham also affects investigators who are in a Dunwich street area or location.

So, in my opinion, I think it's the same even if it's written on an investigator's sheet

So... Arkham=all boards but not Other Worlds or Lost in Space and Time. Consequently, Darrell's ability works everywhere (except for OW).
