It means nothing. Move along.

It means that scum clumps together!

Or perhaps that in the new continuity, that the Mantis will be hired by the wealthy and influential Scorpion, rather than by the tsunami-impoverished Crane.

New desktop background?

Looks like Yoritomo is taking Hoturi's place or something.

No way is that Kachiko.

Presenting: Indomitable, now available for pre-order as a limited edition, signed and numbered print. Pre-order window is open from today through 08-16.

This was made by fans of L5R, for fans of L5R.

It's a Patreon commission that you can but prints of, if you want..

Looking at it again, particularly the colour coded ribbons tied around their arms, I get the feeling it might be a commission from a Scorpion player and her Mantis other half, rather than confirmation of anything FFG related.

Commissioned artwork from Dan Dineen and David Lapp. drawn by Jason Behnke. It's pretty, but it's not an official part of either the new setting or the old.

Yep. It's a comission, by one of the classic L5R artist. Honestly I'm a little worried about the legality of the enterprise. One thing is a private comission, but selling prints is another thing (even if I would love to own one!).

Boooo! And I even started to feel interested .

Your position might have been a little stronger if Yoritomo wasn't already mentioned, by name, in the Crane fiction.

Like it or not, Mantis is happening.

Spider is happening.

Shadowlands is happening.

Its only a matter of time.... the Dragon have foreseen it..,

(am not trying to be coy, or a smart ***, or similar...)

His miserable existence does not mandate the creation of a gang of criminals.

So? You can also buy it for... $55, I think from the artists online shop.

Maybe I associate her with the old artwork but I'm not a fan of Kachiko here. Granted, the artwork still looks amazing.

You're right, we'd better give them some land to legitimize them- I hear the Crane are having trouble properly administering the lands they hold. Maybe it's time for a new approach...

LOL!

There is a desert that can be found to the west of Rokugan... largely unexplored, vast, with tremendous opportunity for settlement and growth - plus, various neighboring "peoples" who would be more than welcoming toward outsiders.... :D

Well, I can't speak for the naval family, but after seeing Hotaru's amateurish attempts at archery, perhaps it's time to get some real bowmen into the setting to show her how it's done!

after that tsunami, half the Crane lands are probably still underwater anyways, might as well fill it with pirates.
