Going to play my first organized event in a few weeks, and am trying to field a decent list. I know I won't win, I have no "delusions of grandeur", but would like to at least be a little competitive maybe? Maybe win one match??

Trying not to break the bank , here are my two options I am looking at:

Elite nexu

I know the activations are light, and the nexu isn't a great choice, but it's what I could fit in

2)

This seems stronger, but maybe having more activations of figures that die easily isn't really worth it?

Have you thought about command cards? Your list will live and die based on your CC deck. Also, which sets do you own?

i have Grand Inquisitor, Bantha rider, Obi Wan, chewbacca, BT-1, 0-0-0, Dengar, Bossk and IG88.

Am going to buy the jawa for focus on the kill and droid flexibility (plus he seems fun for campaign too). I am trying not to get a divorce, so don't really want to buy anything else right now

For command cards, I am planning on running Son of Skywalker and Blaze of glory, take initiative and just figure the rest out after that

It's thematic. No Gideon, but your best attackers (BT and IG) focus themselves anyway. Shared experience let's your other Droids focus if needed.

Interesting suggestion that I hadn't considered. I was focused on building around Luke and IG, for their two command cards. But maybe having 23 points for those two is too expensive.

TI still like to run 'old' Luke, as his rerolls are really useful. Jedi Luke is the flavour of the moment, as he offers a greater threat and more HP. FOTK brings IG up to a more reasonable amount of health, but Luke will still melt quickly against a couple of decent attacks.

Any of the above lists could work. The only way to find out is to try them and see! Just ask if there's any more advice you need and let us know how you get on.

I like this. There are several other ways you could juggle things around.

• Bossk -> rHK droids
• 0-0-0 -> 3PO
• Probe Droid -> R2D2

and you'd have some points left over for something cheap like Greedo or Hired Guns.

I ran a similar list with IG, eJawa, BT, R2D2, eHK, and rHired Guns. I wanted another activation, and focusing the HK's would have been nice. I don't think I got full value out the eHK's, and the regulars would give more points to play with. I can't decide if 3PO would be a good value or not, as BT and IG don't need the focus. I didn't draw Shared Experience, so there is that. I did grossly misplay my Hired Guns, but I chalk that up to being a noob.

I love the HK models (and Knights of the Old Republic in general), so have played them a lot. I find that the elites, unusually, don't provide enough extra value and tend to go with the regulars. They need to be focused to push through enough damage.

I really like the variation in Droids lists and that it may be made more diverse in HotE.
