Swarm Leader: Quick Draw + Countdown

If i were a better pilot i think this might kinda work...

Countdowns only purpose in life is to take evades and give Quickdraw 1 extra Attack Dice for a couple rounds...or when opportunity presents itself.

Whispy + QD with 4 dice should be able to do things. Keeping QD close to countdown is tricky but i think doable at least twice a game.

If the stars really align give Whisper an evade out of arc with a TL from FCS to and have QD drop a 6 dice attack at range 1.

Is it to much effort for not alot of return?Probably. Did i just try it and throw down 5 dice with QD on the opening round of combat? Yep

Anyone have good ways to take advantage of Swarm Leader that have been thought through alrdy? It seems potentially devestating and janky. Probably not better than Predator at the end of the day...

Is it possible to Swarm leader with Vader and Cruise Missles/ATC/Guidance Chips for a potential 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 8 dice attack? Or am i reading the cards wrong...

Your list isnt bad. You present terrible options for your opponent. Shoot countdown who takes 1 dmg. Shoot Quickdraw eho can swarm leader revenge shot. Or chase Whisper.

Can do swarm leader Quickdraw with x7 vessery,darkcurse, academy. Did similar in vassal league and made it to finals.

Backdraft Swarm leader with 31pt Inquisitor and VI x7 Vessery. Took to store champs and went 4-1. Backdraft is an all star with swarm leader from either arc.

You cant use Swwrm leader efficiently cause you add only one die, so it seems waste of points. Adding Vader instead Whisperis another story, but SL works only with primary weapon.

Agreed with this, it presents a lot of horrible options. I really like it. It's interesting as normally most folk go all in with Swarm Leader, massively boosting one ship to the detriment of others but you've not done that here.

Be interesting to see how it does in a meta with a lot of PS10 Nyns.

Intel Agent might give it a small chance but im afraid it would struggle badly unless it smokes Nym by the second round of combat.

Sadly would probably need to switch Swarm leader for adaptability on Quickdraw with a missle or Rebel Captive on Whisper instead of intel for dealing with PS10 nym or Rey.

I've been looking at Swarm Leader as a way to get Kylos shuttle on the board. Looking at flying this list at a local tournament in a couple of weeks to have fun.

Tanky, putting a 6 dice shot on the shuttle. The shuttle will probably be shot first, triggering Kylo, so Vader is there to guarantee the crit, if the shuttle isn't limping by the time it shoots that is.

I think the shuttle is too easily avoided after the first round or two of shooting to be worth it, personally. The Vader ability also doesn't trigger Kylos condition card.

Ah, did not realize that about the Vader card. I'll have to reconsider that then. Not sure what crew I'd sub in.

Shuttle is definitely clunky, but I don't think it's as easy to dodge as a lambda. It would not be an easy list to fly, but with the 4-7 dice depending on range/swarm bonus you slow roll into a group, and easily take out an ace by lining up just one shot.

i tried quickdraw with swarmleader and 4 crackties once.

It was...comically effective. You shoot at a tie swarm while QD basically just walks all over you, because the moment you fire at QD she's going to own you with a swarm attack until you get all those ties down.
Also worth nothing: swarm leader isnt once per round, so QD can literally just go wherever the **** she wants because if you attack her thats the 2nd 5/6die attack you just took to the face. You HAVE to deal with the TIEs first, and with good flying thats not easy.

Also came out to 98pts so you could either leave it as a bid, or swap one of the crackshots for say Debt To Pay to free a point up for Cruise Missiles on QD.
