Your Favorite Terrible Ship

Wow! This is a really cool idea!

It is point heavy, and also, the pilot skill of Cassian is too low to be a Manroo light. But it does pair up with Dash fairly well.

The U-Wing is one of those ships where it's either too cheap to be effective when stripped or too expensive if/when you deck it out. It is a very versatile platform that should be more effective than it is. I personally love it and it is my favorite ship to fly alongside Rey.

How do you run it? I like it too, unfortunately I can't get it to do anything in the game.

run it with Expertise Rey. I used to use Cassian with Enhanced Scopes/Snap Shot and no Boshek, but I find this is better offensively. The cluster mines is hilarious when the enemy gets behind you (and they do) because then they get hit for 3-4 damage and the salt starts to flow. Or you ram them, boshek them. It's been effective for me, but once people learned my tricks they focused fire on it to kill it fast before I could do my bump and grind. So... I retired it for now.

I like TIE Interceptors so much that I have six of them! They used to be good, so I'm not sure that counts.

I have also always loved the TIE Bomber! I flew generic TIE Bombers with Proton Bombs and missiles before the lazy beginner munitions-entusiast's crutches of Extra Munitions and Guidance Chips came along! :P

They actually weren't too shabby in the Wave 3 metagame...

That's right! TIE interceptor power! I have eight: four blisters, and two copies of Imperial Aces. Great fun!

Yeah! Sadly, I didn't buy all four when the Interceptor first came out, just two, but I did make sure to buy two aces packs! I guess I thought four Royal Guard Pilots would be a thing...

The G1-A is indeed horribly underrated. It's one of my favorites too, especially Zuckuss pilot.

G1-A and Kihraxz have been very good for me.

Just finished a league where you had to run different lists each week with a tournament at the end. I went 3-0 in regular season and 5-1 to win the tournament with: Cobra, Kavil (Dorsal, not TLT) and 4-LOM.

They all had Minlink and could barrel roll. Cobra only survived to the end of one match but always did more damage than he took. Kavil surprised with green speed 3's and barrel rolls to keep people on his tail and blasted away with 3-4 focused dice. And 4-LOM with Outlaw Tech loved pulling red 1 hards in close to pass a focus to allies and stress to a key enemy. Very much the troll.

Edit: The 1 loss was by a single squad point as time was called.

Can I get some love for the U-Wing?

Ive been using Heff as a bumpmaster and refuse to build a rebel list without a Uwing (just can't help myself ;) ) I'm still better than 50:50 with this thing on casual night and I don't plan on giving it up anytime soon. If rebel get some more OP crew this thing could become crazy good (though now it has the rival Azutuk...)

Uwing?.... **** yeah (it's my favourite ship in Star Wars)

I am genuinely surprised by the number of people saying punisher.

Ofc I bought one for the upgrades, but the model looks so horrendously bad. The reason I don't fly it has nothing to do with it being overcosted and everything to do with the fact that the model makes me embarrassed to put it on the table.

I have a friend that lovesssssss his Punisher. I agree, it is a bad looking model, but he loves it. Different tastes. That is also the reason I cannot bring myself to play the K-Wing. Just .... too ... ugly for me.

Ya know....the U-Wing really is growing on me.

Its awful.

But **** if its not one of the coolest looking ship models ever. And that stat line puts it "very" close to being kinda useful if it wasnt so predictable.

One of these two builds is sorta my favorite for it. First one is a bit more defensive. Second one is crazy town. Refuse to fly it without Daredevil and Engine Upgrade, to predictable otherwise.

Cassian Andor — U-Wing 27
Daredevil 3
Fire-Control System 2
Luke Skywalker 7
Jan Ors 2
Engine Upgrade 4
Pivot Wing 0
Ship Total: 45

Cassian Andor — U-Wing 27
Daredevil 3
Fire-Control System 2
Gunner 5
Captain Rex 2
Engine Upgrade 4
Pivot Wing 0
Ship Total: 43

Its title should be "restated" to say the following:

Side A (Attack): Increase your agility by 1.

After you execute a maneuver, you may flip this card. You may flip this card at the start of the Activation Phase

Side B (Landing): When you reveal a (0 ) maneuver, you may rotate your ship 180° and increase speed by 0, 1 , 2 , 3, or 4.

After you execute a maneuver, you may flip this card. You may flip this card at the start of the Activation Phase

I agree, I just might buy one if this happens! U-wing needs that. Though the speed change seems unnecessary.

I'm puzzled by this as well, but some ugly ships have have pilot abilities that are so interesting it makes up for the, in my eyes, ugly ship - Esege, Kyle. YMMV. So I'll still fly the ship.

I'll grant this to the Punisher fans though: that thing is so ugly that it becomes pretty. It's like a parody of Star Wars. You can make Yo Mamma jokes about it. It's the Kung Fu Panda of Star Wars.

So it actually has an endearing quality, unlike most EU designs. That might make me want to fly one if I ever decide to spend money on it.

TIE Bombers and non-Palp shuttles (both Lambda and Upsilon)

I used to fly TIE Punishers with cluster missiles before they were nerfed by a new timing chart.

Also recently I started to fly Valen Rudor (TAP) and his ability makes flying him really interesting.

X-wings. You know, the namesake of this game.

Tie Punisher fans rejoice, it is no longer the worst ship on x wing meta analyzer (last 30 days).

40. Tie Punisher

41. E wing

42. U wing
