My Interdictor build....

By Deadshane, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Comments and critiques welcome. There seemed to be some interest on the other Interdictor thread so I would like to see what you guys think of MY fleet.

Interdictor Suppression Refit

-Motti, Damage Control Officer, Disposable Capacitors, G7-X Grav Well, Targeting Scrambler, High Capacity Ion Turbines, Interdictor

Interdictor Suppression Refit

-Damage Control Officer, Disposable Capacitors, G7-X Grav Well, Targeting Scrambler, High Capacity Ion Turbines,

Quasar Fire I Cruiser-Carrier

-Skilled First Officer, Flight Controllers, Boosted Comms, Expanded Hanger Bay

Squadrons (6 Squads for 77pts)

-Soontir Fel, Howlrunner, Saber Squadron, Tie Interceptor x 2, Black Squadron

400/400 pts

Spamming repair orders makes these guys HARD to kill combined with Motti, Targeting Scrambler, and interdictor recharging a key scrambler. Disposable capacitors makes you effective at long range for 'long enough', then the blues kick in. They kick in especially on the broadsides with the Ion Turbines. G7's on both ships for only 4 points is a new development to inconvenience the opponent.

Quasar fire fighter assault is crazy powerful. 4 interceptors storm in with 6 dice each (swarm) taking care of characters easy. Black Squadron buys Howlrunner a little time with Soontir making it worse for the opponent.

Thats the gist of the list. Whaddya guys think?

Forgot to mention....Damage control officers go a LONG way toward fighting the current meta of proton torps and the like. They were obviously made almost specifically for the Interdictor, so good.

I'd definitely drop the High Capacity Ion Turbines and swap them for Ion Cannon Batteries they will net you more damage overall and saves you 6 points. Then I'd swap Fel for Dengar and Black for an advanced maybe Tempest or keep Fel and swap black for Zertik. Without knowing objectives I'm not sure 2 G7s is warranted might swap 1 for a Grav Shift.

On Inderdictor an a loaded Vic is probably better than 2 interdictors. The Vic. has more punch and is pretty tough. Wulf on the Interdictor to keep 8 eng. points flowing a turn.

Drop the second Dic add a Vic2 Gunnery Team, Disposable Capacitors, Leading Shots, Quad Battery Turrets, and Intel officer. Leaves you with 3 points so you can swap DCO for Wulff.
