TIE bombers with an extra 1 or 2 shields and a tech slot... I wonder a) what this would cost, b) what cool combos come when you start having that critical extra little bit of durability to help out.

It's currently doable, and I'm always doing it (as I said before, I'm exclusively playing with First Order and Resistance ships). It is limited, but you can make some competitive builds with only those ships. And it is actually fun to list build with a theme in mind.
As for the upgrade cards, I only use the generics (Inspiring recruits, tactician, Recon Specialist, etc) or the uniques (Kylo Ren, General Hux, Finn, etc) that works according to the timeline, so no Palpatine or Vader or Kannan. Only place where I make an exception is with the astromechs on the T-70s.
My current favorite build for the First Order is:
-Quickdraw with Expertise, Fire-Control System, Pattern Analyzer, Special Ops training, Lightweight Frame
-Backdraft with Veteran Instinct, Fire-Control System, Pattern Analyzer, Special Ops training, Lightweight Frame
-Omega Leader with Juke, Comms Relay
and I also have fun with this one:
-Omega Specialist with Crackshot, Fire-Control System, Targeting Synchronizer, Special Ops Training, Lightweight Frame
-Omega Specialist with Crackshot, Fire-Control System, Targeting Synchronizer, Special Ops Training, Lightweight Frame
-Omega Specialist with Crackshot, Fire-Control System, Targeting Synchronizer, Special Ops Training, Lightweight Frame
But I'll repeat what I said earlier, I don't see a point to actually make it a separate faction in game. It should be up to the players to choose if they want to build a thematic list or not.

If it makes you feel better, Joe used to do this in every single thread on the forums. Thankfulky, he mostly keeps the spamming to the threads he starts.

It would be nice to get a title for the original tie bomber and fo bomber that helps bomb not take bombs away. Lololo
biggest worry i have is this thing will push the punisher out the window even further than before.
Sensor slot is rarely a big enough factor to take the huge price hyke if ever. If you give the bomber access to Bombletts then the punisher just lost the only real perk it has over the bomber atm.
8hp behind 2agi is far superior to 9hp behind 1. So its not even going to have the durability edge.
As a result, bomber can still safely take gchips/lrs while the punisher MUST take LWF or die instantly.

Title: Bomb Suite Refit: 1 point. When you are instructed to discard an upgrade card, you may roll an attsck die. On a hit or crit result do not discard that card.
i feel like that would make more sense on a Punisher since theyre suppose to have a ton of ordnance space on them compared to the bomber.

The Punisher is dam nice... now that the Aggressor Expansion has come out. I did get a sixpack of the rascals yesterday too, but wow yeah they sold out immediately. That tells me that the serious casualties know how great this aggravated little guy is going to be in our EPIC Games... glory!

Having even more munitions is hardly a fix for a ship that dies before unloading its normal loadout

Wouldn't really solve anything. The Punisher needs more of a PUNch. An ability that allows it to double tap would be good.

How about a title that reduces it's upgrades by 1 pt each??? And and makes all banks green.
Other stuff gets great titles, I don't want roll a die to keep missile how about I just reduce missiles torps and bombs by 1pt.
