Well I have no proof (as this is just an idea I pulled out of the Maw) but hey that would be a way to nerf Biggs, Core (red X-wing) Wave 1 and Wave 2 are no longer legal and everything will be rotated out. Maybe that is why Biggs wasn't mentioned in the FAQ leak. X-wings are on their way out along with Y-wings Soontir, Vader (pilot), Tycho and face it, no one ever plays Imperial Firesprays. Might even make room for 2.0.

Okay horrible idea but given the other options (and lack of Biggs nerf) what would rotations do to the game since that would be the last nerf not yet used by FFG (if the rumors are to be true)?

They better not be, we will be back in our F-wings and R-wings to cry to FFG to nerf them so hard they would be HWK-290 dials with TIE Phantom Stats and a Y-wing action bar at the cost of a TIE Defender!

Any rotations would have to be done in a way similar to Hearthstone where there are some elements of the game always availiable. For X-Wing that would mean wave 1-3 ships and pilots at a minimum, though there is no reason not to exclude (potential) problem pilots like Biggs and Soontir Fel. Then the Most Wanted pack would keep scum in the game, too.

Ships that need certain (fix) upgrades create the need for more exceptions.

Ultimately rotation is a clunky way to go about balance in X-Wing, but a carefully worked out way to do it would be beneficial for sure.

I don't think Biggs will ever get nerfed. Devs have openly admitted that Rebels have always been designed around Biggs, so a Biggs nerf will nerf the entire rebel faction. Also look at the reason for other nerfs. Palp pushed out every non palp imperial list and ended JOUSTING. Deadeye scouts ended all rebel lists. Zuckuss removed aces and just didn't seem balanced.

With the possibility of these new nerfs, AdvSlam Bombing removed arc dodgers, so that is why it is probably getting a nerf. The proposed JM5K nerf balances the platform which seems to be the problem with all iterations of JM lists.

What does Biggs remove or prevent from the meta? What about Biggs makes him unbalanced?

I should go back to that, put together wave 2 already.

I figure Awing, Intercepter, Bwing, Shuttle for wave 2 (introducing cannon and crew slots), Tie Bombers, YT2400, YT1300, and Phanotm (Introducing Illicit, bombs, and "Bomb Loadout", and changing the way low PS phantoms work) for wave 3. Wave 4 introduces scum with z95, Firespray, HWK, and the Havoc, all multifaction.

It's just as solid as it always was, it's just the toilet seat and the discman (lancer) can cover their butts so much better/eaiser.
