He shows up in casual play from time to time. He's like the tack in your shoe. A small pain but it needs immediate attention. Throw in Palob and I break out the Tums.

I like seeing something fresh on the other side. Usually something quirky. Like the first time I saw Hux Upsilon strikers and tie fighters. Oooh. Decimators in weird combinations. 3 defenders, cuz they look nice. Zs.

Mux is Gorgeous fun. So is Palob. Hwks are just great fun.

Think I've only seen them on the board in HotAC.

No I'm lying we recently had a lone wolf event 40 points each one ship. There was a scum hawk with an infinite cloaking device and could damage people by losing a shield and could regen it and could steal your focus tokens and keep all the focus tokens. Of course it won. Although my Quickdraw came second.

I think he may see an increase in play now that the PS wars have begun anew.

TIE Strikers. They always can suprise you with where they end up which makes for a very fun game. Their stats are not forgiving, preventing the feeling of getting bsed.

In before salty says "anything that isn't broken that I can crush in minutes"?

If I'm being honest though, I love to see ships I don't need to think too hard about how to engage, so guess I'm just as bad.

TIE Bombers, TIE Interceptors, Firesprays, A/B/X/Y-wings (if no TLT) ... anything that is from the original movies and thus screams "STAR WARS" to anyone who walks up to the table.

Our FLGS Friday evening tournament is played at the same time as a series of Magic tournaments. Occasionally in between rounds one of the Magic players will wander over and watch for a bit. They seldom say anything, but I always wonder what they're thinking when not a single one of the ships on the board is recognizable to someone who has only seen the movies.

I like seeing YV666s. However they're loaded, I always feel like I have a chance against them. If I can outfly my opponent and get behind them, I should win; conversely, if they can kill me first they win. It's why I didn't really like seeing Jumpmasters, they don't have weaknesses which need to be shored up by flying skill, unlike almost all other ships.

TIE fighters, Darth Vader, TiE interceptors.

Over the past weekend our store championship had a guy that flew three punishers with cluster mines. I didn't face him, but I so wanted too!

Other than that, T-65s, TIE Bombers, and anything that was taken out of spite of better options.

(sarcasm warning these are the opinions I have taken from the forums both present, past, and future all are an indication of the current state of the X-wing community)

1. Why isn't Biggs mentioned in the leak, has FFG have no plans to nerf him? I got my PhD in math to prove that he is OP.
2. Fat Han is the OG in Hate-Dat, Nerf-Dat threads. Turrets = No Skillz!
3. What this shield regen, no man no. Shield token regen is OP. Shields are permanent evade tokens thus better than evades, Nerf B-wings now!

Bottom line, we (as the X-wing community) don't recognize Paul Heaver achievement of 3 times world champion because his ships had PWTs, we don't congratulate someone outside of both North America and Europe as the current world champion because he used Jumpmasters. We just wait to see what is in the Top 4, then start demanding that they need to be nerfed.

Seriously if Worlds were won by a 2 TIE Punisher and 2 TIE Bomber list, the forums and reddit would be flooded with demands for nerfs to TIE Punishers, TIE Bombers, and bombs.

I love it to see when my opponent uses ships that actually belong to one "period of time" or one faction, one theme, like

Galactic Empire

First Order

Rebel Alliance

Resistance

Black Sun

Bountyhunters

and don't mix the factions up

1. Small Base Ships without TLT

2. T-70s other than Poe and Jess Pava, especially Ello Nasty or Oh Snap Wexley

3. Swarms of any kind

4. Juno Eclipse

X-Wings. Cuz then I know what game I'm playing.

Butterflies. The ones that came with my Autothruster expansion. I have flown Xizor before but I rarely seen them nowadays.

He's one of the pilots to use when you want to rattle your opponent's cage and not necessarily win a game. Good for psychological warfare.

Your premise is missing an important part:

If the majority opinion of the forums of TIE punishers and TIE bombers were that they were undercosted, and capable of combining upgrades resulting in overpowered combinations, and then they won Worlds, the forums would be flooded with demands for nerfs.

Anything with 0 or 1 agility. If im doing damage. I feel good. Rolling 4 hits and doing nada really drains the moral
