If you are regularly in an x wing podcast, welcome to your audience!

By Velvetelvis, in X-Wing

Hi!

Welcome to the x wing miniatures forum. We are the people that would find your shows and listen to them regularly.

Many of you may have done this already in the past, but in the few years I have been around the forum, I haven't seen the cast of your show introduce themselves to the community here.

Now, I'm an old fella prone to a medical condition called " occasionally sober" so my perspective is often cloudy and I don't know who you all are. Also, there has been since I started,a lot of new folks joining the ranks of players who spend their time and money enjoying the game we all have in common who may not know you here.

This forum could potentially be a fun and interesting place for us all to jaw jack about the game, offer advice to others, share ideas and so on and so forth so come on out of the woodwork and have a seat at our table.

Some of you go by the same name here as you do on your show ...or is similar enough that it's obvious.

But some of you are unknown!

Be a sport and tell us who you are and what show you do so we can give it a listen AND do the whole chit chat on the forum thing.

I for one would like the podcasts to be as good as they can possibly be. Let's talk about that.

I'd like to see this forum be as good as it possibly can be.lets talk about that.

Let's not talk about me stealing the let's talk about that catch phrase from the guys that eat wierd **** on YouTube.

I'm Joe from The Jodo Cast. Though we don't really count. :P We cover all Star Wars games. So we touch on X-Wing now and then. Haven't lately since none of us have been playing as much recently.

There's other star wars games???1!1!?1

Thanks for popping in man. I look forward to checking out yalls program.

I would run away from the F-wing Swarm.

Then again the R-wing swarms aren't much better.

I'm Gordon, from the Stay on Target podcast.

You make an excellent point about how some of the podcasts chide the forums, and then advertise here when a new episode is available. I have no idea if I'm guilty of that myself, but I'll certainly be mindful of it going forward.

Hi everyone, I'm Lachie and I'm one of the hosts of **** of a Pilot. We're an Australian trio who do a combination of current X-wing news and Star Wars lore. In our lore section we pick a pilot who can be flown in the X-wing game and tell their story, then decide if that was the inspiration for their pilot ability. We're not too serious though; we mix plenty of jokes through as well! Find us in iTunes or at this link to podbean: https://hellofapilot.podbean.com/

And our meme page is here: https://www.facebook.com/hellofapilot/

Edit: H e l l of a pilot, of course. The word **** apparently auto-censors.

Hello, I’m Biff – a crew member on The Shuttle Tydirium.

We like to cover the various ways to play X-Wing beyond the standard 200 pt & 6 asteroid format. We try to focus our discussions on mission development, campaign play, alternate rules/upgrades/pilot abilities and player generated content, like Heroes of the Aturi Cluster. We try not to take ourselves seriously and we are constantly reminded that we are not masters of this game (“We make the mistakes so you don’t have to!”) – hopefully, to the entertainment and benefit of our listeners.

I’m a little jealous of the Australian podcast crew. I think it is pretty cool to have a name that is auto censored. Sucks for marketing but has that “cool guy just walked into the room” effect/swagger. ;)

I'm Jeremy Chamblee, Common Ground Games Monthly Champion Supreme and host of The Kessel Run.

I come here with an offer. I'll post here more if you forum guys get it together and right the ship.

I was just a guest on the Devil's Due Podcast, they cover all thinks geeky and pop culture, with more of a marvel comics theme, but one of the hosts has recently gotten into X-Wing and has been doing alot more gaming stuff. Had me on the last episode that will air Aug 2nd to talk about X-Wing, Armada, Gaming, and Star Wars in general.

I'm Joel from the Birmingham Barons. We talk about a little bit of everything from beginner strategy tips to squad building to meta analysis to advanced flying techniques. Our shows are approximately 1 hour long and we publish a new one every Wednesday.

We love feedback! If you have any suggestions for our show, let us know via our Facebook page or send us an email at [email protected]

@Velvetelvis I saw your posts last night concerning your distaste of the treatment forumites receive from podcasts. I don't believe the Barons are guilty of this, but if we are I apologize. I couldn't think of any helpful response last night, so thank you for being proactive and creating this topic to address your concerns in a positive manner.

I am Bob Randall, formerly from Nova Squadron Radio and now the ship's computer on the Scum & Villiany podcast, and I have an X-wing Math problem.

Welcome to the team fellas.

Side note for newer players, crabbok also has a ton of video material you might find helpful on YouTube under the same name.

I'm going to fix this ship alright.

Steven from the Birmingham Barons here. I know for a fact I've made fun of r/xwingtmg on air, so it's possible I've mocked the forums too. I tend to be an equal opportunity ******* like that.

Also I read reddit and the forums waaaaaay more than I ever post. Partly an old habit, and partly because a lot of people will have said what I'm thinking already as is.

Hi!

Niz here from the HitHitCrit Podcast. We are based in Cape Town, South Africa .

Mostly focus on local Xwing happenings and mindsets.

We don't follow the international meta here, but some people try and then get crushed by jank.

Don't really post here.

Maybe we should.

sozin from the S&V Podcast. I also wrote and manage List Jugger. I'm also the admin of the Vassal league and technical advisor to the community's open source tech efforts.

Hi Bob!

Admitting your addiction is the first step on the road to recovery.

I'm scruffy, the janitor.

I'm Phil the Shuttle Tydirium. We're a casual X-wing oriented cast, and I specialize in mission design stuff. We're solely focused on how to have fun playing the game in ways other than the competitive scene.

As a friendly reminder to the awesome people that share their love of the game on podcasts, there are some excellent discussions in both the Squad Building and Battle Reports subforums. Lots of great content exists beyond the main page.

^ He is the worst.

I don't mind if podcasters talk **** about the forum while not participating. We, the forum users, are ultimately responsible for what can be read here and bad content is bad content. It can be identified by anyone, forum member or not. So if this is a low quality forum, we should simply take notice and see if we can do something about it.
