My vote would be for the smuggler list for sure. Any squad with a bunch of UGs feels !fun to me. 
However, i would most def go with option 1.5 (both!):

One problem there, you can't take han and chewie's upgrades with temporary alliance. If you want them in that list, you can't take their upgrades.
