Survival of the Fittest- For Imperial Eyes Only (Potential Spoilers)

By subtrendy2, in Imperial Assault Campaign

Potential Spoilers for the Return to Hoth campaign.

After a bit of a hiatus due to moving, we've resumed our Return to Hoth campaign. Wednesday night, the Rebels managed to rescue Benex from Imperial clutches.

Jedi Luke managed to lead the team into the Rebel base to link up with Leia, just moments before General Weiss arrived outside the base and took up space in the clearing. While Luke, Vinto, and Murne held off stormtroopers near the entrances of the base, Leia, Fenn and Mak pushed deeper in to find Haven's leader. The found Benex being interrogated by the general they saw at Echo Base- Sorin, but immediately the Rebel's pilot blew a hole in the side of the base. Luke rushed in through the breach and easily cut down Sorin. While ISB agents pursued them from the base, the Rebels fled back to the clearing, while Mak grabbed Benex. At the clearing, they found General Weiss blocking their path.

The Rebels took cover from Weiss's attacks, but they knew they had to get through. Leia used her experience as a leader to coordinate an attack between herself and her brother, and Luke followed with two more attacks of his own, cutting down Weiss's prototype walker. The Rebels just barely managed an escape as snowtrooper reinforcements poured into the clearing.

While I didn't quite throw the game, I'm glad they did because I'm very eager to play The Last Line.

But first, we have two side missions to play. After the disaster at Echo Base, my Rebels have decided that they need to take down threat missions (Currently in play: Survival of the Fittest, The Hard Way, Escape from Cloud City). The Rebels have chose Survival of the Fittest for their first mission.

Any tips for this one? I'm using the Armored Onslaught class deck with Armored Corps, Automated Repairs, Mortar, and Reactive Armor. I also have the deplete agenda cards that allow for a vehicle cost be reduced by 3, and one that allows a unit adjacent to a leader to get focused before an attack.

Currently, this is my strategy:

Put Automated Repairs and Reactive armor on the Probe droid and immediately begin harassing the Rebels with it.

Spawn an Imperial officer near the Wampa, try to get an attack with focus off early.

Obviously, hit the biggest spawn area with mortar shot.

Not really sure where to go from there, though. Seems like my biggest advantage in this mission is the total lack of information the Rebels have regarding the map at the beginning, combined with the short (initial) turn limit of 4. I imagine the Rebels may panic a bit and try to move as quickly as possible. Throwing conditions on them (threat level is 5, so I could spawn an initial Dengar before turn 1, along with the officer, perhaps on the probe droid's side) could slow them down further. It doesn't look like I get a ton of units from reserved or open groups, but if my Rebels are focused more on moving than attacking then my units shouldn't have much trouble staying alive. I'm also bringing along some Nexu, to hopefully throw more conditions on.

Any thoughts?

Currently, my open groups are:
