Why would you nerf advanced slam but leave genius?
The leak makes no sense.

Remember, all nerfs are 6 months behind the meta.
Edited by RakaydosIf so it wouldn't be the first time FFG went back on a design decision.

Now don't give me that articles are not a legitimate source of information. The entire Advanced SLAM and drop mine combo for the K-wing was the intended result!

Just replace Adv SLAM with Experimental Interface. If you look at it from that perspective, the true nerf to Adv SLAM is the following:
1. Costs 1 pt more
2. Less flexible (only works on upgrade card actions)
3. Unique
4. Stresses the user (like PTL)
All of which serve to balance the card. SLAM-based bombing is still going to be alive and well. The only thing that will happen is Triple Ks will disappear forever. Bombing Miranda will still exist, but there is now better counter play against her.
If this errata becomes a part of the official FAQ, there are ways for people to play Miranda or other K-Wings in a similar fashion to the way they can be played now. As has been mentioned: Experimental Interface works nicely. Don't like the stress reducing your maneuver options for next turn? Take Kanan Jarrus crew. You pay more and give up what you may have had for crew before, but a reduction in power is intended and appropriate here - even if I'm not sure if this is the right way to do it (I'm not sure it's not, either). The alleged upcoming change to Advanced SLAM seems to fit with FFG's theme for the last round of errata: choices with consequences.

FFG OP should not require people to have copies of said upgrade cards anymore and should allow for squad list printouts and/or fanart or custom printouts containing errata information to take its place.
If they are going to treat the cardboard as if it doesn't matter then it shouldn't matter in tournaments!
So its a rumour. And if it's true it's probably too late anyway. But let's hit the panic button?
Not me.

...and why would they nerf Genius? Because people are actually starting to use the card now?
20 hours ago, Makaze said:How are bomblets the better choice? They don't work at all with SLAM, advanced or otherwise, and so the opposing player always knows exactly where they'll be dropped before they set their dial. Scum Nym with Adv Sensors/Genius... you can drop them all over the place. But on a K-Wing they're utterly predictable and thus avoidable.
It's almost as if the design team wanted k wings deleting ships in one turn to take some skill... You know, like how imperial bombs do?
Most ships are predictable, except maybe echo and some advanced sensor shenanigans. Why should the k wing be exempt from this?

Not me.
The Podcasts have adopted it and called the source "credible".
I hope it isn't true but this is now proof how hostile the X-wing community has become. Well that is the problem with everything these days. With popularity comes toxicity, now if it wins a tournament it is OP and must be nerf, and forget the cheaters in 40K, they have mad their way to worlds.

Oh, clever, never realized that slam is an action.
