Vessery TieD or X7?

I think both versions of Vessery are pretty good, but my internal struggle comes down to survivability vs. synergy. I love using the tractor beam, getting a lock for the roll from his pilot ability, then following up with the primary attack (again with target lock). I've thrown around my son's Fang fighters to good effect. But what good is synergy if you're not alive to enjoy it? Without the x7 evade, Vessery clearly has a shorter life span.

What are the thoughts of you who have flight experience with both Vessery iterations?

Most people are going to say "x7 is better" for the exact reason you mentioned, but the value of the x7 title was diminished by the FAQ and the prevalence of attacks that ignore tokens (bombs, etc.) It really comes down to what you're flying alongside him and if you're spending your focus on offense at any point.

To be fair, Vessery in particular doesn't need offensive focus a ton thanks to his ability. And as a last ship standing he's inferior to Ryad (since her ability keeps working). If you're going to run TIE/D Vessery is the best choice.

But that said, since he doesn't need offensive focus much that just lets him keep it for double token defense that much more with /x7.

So yeah, it comes down to the list in the end. If you're in doubt, Juke+/x7+TIE Mk II is a safe choice.
