They will probably dishonor you first though...
Well, I think I just determined my first clan. Looks very fun.

Hida Kisada declares a Military attack. Hida Kisada is stone faced.
Shameful Display! Hida Kisada does not care that he didn't file the proper paperwork.
Isawa Mori Seido give Hida Kisada +2 Glory. Hida Kisada is now embarrassed.
Stupid, annoying pacifists.
I'm starting to wonder if Cloud the Mind is worth running with only six shugenja.
Definitely gonna start running Court Games.
It was nice to get the full text of Assassination.
Serene Warrior is annoying since he only needs 3 glory to make him a 0/0 when dishonored so having more than that is only a good thing.

Kisada cares not.

Twas not The Perfect Gift. The province burns.

If you lose, you can always start singing...

An honorable Serene Warrior stands over the embarrassed Hida Kisada tapping his foot.

YES!

Serene Warrior realizes he is upside down. It is Kisada who is over him. That poor Crab scout sacrificed himself to take down the warrior. Such is The Way of things.

Why would Kisada be affected by such Shameful Display. He negates that by your action sequence...

All that scout did was spook an honorable Solemn Scholar back at home. The Great Bear is weaker than he thinks.

Who said this was the first attack?
Edited by UltimatecaliburI'm wondering what to do with a Lion deck to break the stronghold with mori kuroi?
Every time you attack MIL it can turn into POL.
If you have to invest in political skill so the deck becomes trash, just saying.
And we still don't have a full spoiler for the Phoenix holding.
Fantastic!

I think your best bet might be to ignore that province.

I am pretty sure that province is going under the stronghold most of the time.
That's where I would put it if I were playing phoenix.

(Seriously, a warrior wearing long, flowing robes is questionable enough, but to wear them in a manner to make them even more flowing? <sigh>)
At least it looks to be a guy with kimono failure this time! ![]()

The Scorpions haven't been spoiled yet, I am sure that they are still incapable of keeping clothes on.

Remember that you have several characters with fairly decent Politics when honored and that a swarm of Lions 6+ Lions will have more than enough Pol to break it.

Fantastic!
I know, so annoying! I'd like to see it give -1 Province Strength.
Anyone else notice that the average Mil and Pol are identical for this faction, including the Naive Student card but not including conflict cards? Fire chickens seem to be more muscular than their non-fiery cousins, who knew?
Edited by CasanundaCorrected card name
The Yojimbo seems good, but isn't the example they give with Court Games a bit off?
The yojimbo's ability requires a triggered ability that targets a shugenja, but Court Games doesn't seem to target anyone, except maybe your opponent.

Ok Ikoma Eiji is a terrible character, venerable historian weak too, I really don't want them in my deck.
You need 5 bushi Lion to make something like 10 Pol.
And Phoenix is in great advantage about honoring/dishonoring characters.

If it's under their Stronghold, you can't ignore it of you want to win. Well, you could win by Honor in theory, but that will probably be very difficult against Phoenix.

I think the Court Games still targets them, it's just the phoenix player that is choosing the target.

Yes, phoenix have a huge advantage if they make that their last province against military or political clans, but if you are attacking it as a lion... your probably doing well yourself and the phoenix is probably suffering.
