With the announcement of Dawn of Rebellion , I'm wondering: What are other possible era books that could be printed? I know that a Clone Wars book and, eventually, one for the sequel era make sense. Given the current state of Star Wars canon, are there any others that would work?

A Clone Wars and a Sequel trilogy era book are the only possible books with the Disney canon.

The Old Republic, the New Jedi Order and Legacy eras were done by Wizards of the Coast and are considered Legends.

I see clone wars as the logical next one. As the sequal trilogy is not done yet. You could also do a republic era book. Which covers through the phantom menace.

I think that a clone wars one would likely cover episodes I-III, but beyond that I can see a post episode VI era book (with all of its material before VII) in addition to the move trilogy books.

At least until we get Episode IX, I think a full sequel era book seems unlikely. However, an Aftermath-era book, sort of sitting in the time between RotJ and TFA might be a possibility. Explore the New Republic a little bit before moving on to open war between the Resistance and First Order.
