Soontir Fel vs Bombers and Jan

By Sharego, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Hi all,

I have a doubt about the next situation:

Imagine I put Soontir in the middle of a bunch of Xwing and Jan is with them. Now I am heavy so they can shoot to a ship, but they receive the damage of Soontir ability because they are engaged? They still can move more than distance 1 but I don't see why not

Thanks in advance!

Well, if the X-Wing shoots a ship, that is a non-counter attack against a target that is not Soontir. Furthermore, the x-wings are engaged with Soontir despite his "heavy" status.

They can shoot the ship, but will take Soontir damage, so long as they are engaged with Soontir (i.e. distance 1 of Soontir when shooting the ship).

Zepnick is 100% spot on with this one.

Soontir triggers if you are engaged by him, and you make a non-counter attack, that doesn't target him.

Obviously, targeting a ship isn't targeting him, so it would trigger.

Intel (ie, the Heavy Rule) doesn't stop Engagement - it removes from you the restrictions that Engagement puts on you - but it doesn't stop you from being Engaged.

Thanks a lot!! It give me new Ideas O,..,O
