Hi guys, first time poster here looking for some critique on my list. I'm playing in a tournament on the weekend, the gimmick of which is that you cannot have any unique cards, and you cannot have any duplicate pilots or upgrades (you can have duplicate ships, as long as the pilots are different). I mostly own and play Imperials, and I've come up with the list below:
Glaive Squadron Pilot (34)
Push the Limit (3)
Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1)
TIE/x7 (-2)
Onyx Squadron Pilot (32)
Ion Cannon (3)
TIE/D (0)
Zeta Specialist (23)
Fire-Control System (2)
Pattern Analyzer (2)
Lightweight Frame (2)
Special Ops Training (0)
Total: 100
Initially the idea was 3 Defenders, since they're tanky, badass ships, and there are 3 non-unique pilots. However, I ended up swapping out the Delta Squadron pilot for the TIE/SF; he's got a higher pilot skill, and he's cheaper, so he can fit on upgrades that make him functionally a Defender anyway. Glaive is supposed to be a mini-Ryad, although the couple of practice games I managed to get in last night showed it's really not the same build without all those green K-turns. Considered Predator instead, but being able to focus + target lock with a very green dial is quite nice.
Thoughts? What would you fly if you were going to take Imperials under the same limitations? I have most of the Imperial ships to play with, although I'm a little light on some upgrades since I don't have that many ships outside Imperials, but all suggestions are welcome.
