Your not getting a Biggs fix.

True, but there is an important difference: Imps and Scum can bring 2-3 self-reliant ships in a 3 ship list. Rebels can't. All there aces cost 40+ points, so most Rebel 3-ship lists are ace+support/control+Biggs. I have said befor, that the key to fix Rebels is not to remove Biggs, it is to give alternatives to him and FFG seems to go into that direction with Selflessness and Lowhhrick, but right not they are used more in tandem with Biggs rather then as an alternatives.

Right now?

Why would you see that changing?

It is a noticeable 'gap' in the rebel list; you have trouble making a <33 point 'ace', even with T-65 pilots rather than T-70s. You see the slight cost issue at the swarmy end of life, too; both other factions have multiple options for fitting in 5 3-attack-dice ships into a squad, but rebels don't even have one.

You can field a squad of 3 'ace' T-65s without Biggs, but you tend to have to cut some corners compared to what you'd ideally like to give them.

You target whatever has Selflessness, because you're not going to kill anything else because Selflessness.

Unless you are ok with 4 damage on Jess. You likely won't blow up Jess, too, so maybe the sufficient goal needs to be something else than blowing up a ship.

In particular, if you have bombs available, loading 4 damage onto Jess or forcing your opponent not to use Selflessness in case she dies of bombs, shooting someone else can be a good idea.

I don't think the evidence supports that. The most self reliant ship in Scum is Dengar, a large base Turret costing over 50pts.

The "Aces" are not self reliant, they need Mindlink. Almost all of the Scum archetypes revolve around the Jumpmaster or the Shadowcaster to some extent.

With Imperials it might look like they are self reliant but each of them has a massive weakness whether it be bombs and stress (the PTL Aces) or TLT (everything else). And even combining these ships together gives you 2 archetypes you have to play your butt off to be successful with. Many many Imperial ships would love Biggs just as much as the Rebels do. To fit Imperials into lists there are definitely corners to be cut.

I just don't think land without Biggs limits Rebels anymore than the other two factions are already limited, certainly not when you can put Selflessness somewhere anyway and syphon damage to keep the ship you were trying to protect alive anyway.

The alleged nerfs? Though tbh that Biggs nerf mentioned yesterday probably isn't enough to stop you using him unchanged in the list.

The change where he needs to be closest? That woul be amazing because it really rewards good flying

Yeah that one. It's a nerf but not a very deep one, I'm pretty sure the squads would rumble on with him unchanged.

It makes a lot of those squads tougher to fly actually, just because Biggs moves last in many cases, and having him move last but need to be out front makes for a lot more difficult flying. One block can completely kill his utility.
