Crab - Klingon music

Crane - Japanese music, that is a bit more subdued.

Dragon - Humming and maybe Tibetan humming zen music made a little bit more melodic, maybe pentatonic.

Lion - Japanese music, but a bit more aggresive. Mongolian, perhaps?

Phoenix - Think Gregorian-Chinese mix.

Scorpion - Chinese music, a little more cheerful than usual.

Unicorn - Mongolian-Arabic mix.

With the haterade poured and ready to go, I always had the Crane pegged as Yo Yo Ma's stuff in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, or maybe (speaking of things far cooler than they deserve) the theme from Seven Samurai.

But do you not agree that Kubo and his mother are the best rendition I've seen of high-ranked Kakita Artisans.

Nope. Those are Shiba. Possibly branched into either Illusionist or outright Isawa-training.
