All righty, well at least @Visovics has elaborated beyond vague feelings, this at least gives me some idea of where you're coming from. For what it's worth, you're correct. I could've sworn I asked you to elaborate after your first accusation of me somehow being scummy, but it is probably written up and unposted in one of the 12 tabs I had open at home so I could read stuff and know where to find things. For real, we're going to overtake the Article Predictions thread soon. So my mistake, I asked twice but only one got posted.

As to me not being hasty, I only voted for the second to put pressure on to keep him talking, and as I've said before, yes, I started believing his claim, but I also found his entire charade distracting, and I felt like his behavior was distracting and any information he gave was masked in vagueness. Day One he was being just as aloof and this is without the weird protection. I felt that killing him would help us in the long run, and still feel that to be the case. @PodRacer getting modkilled helped us as now we can look into others. I took a long time to cast a vote on Day One, and Day Two I had enough to feel okay about voting for PodRacer, as, let's be honest, is two full "days" of vague nonsense being hasty?

As to my general suspicion for lying a lot the last game, fair enough, I suppose. But I've been pretty careful with my votes. At work, but will look into anyone who keeps throwing votes around when I get home, if I'm alive.

I would love to hear more, in general, from the quieter folks. I know @Ginkapo is conveniently on holiday until the end of "day," but he's seemed able to swoop in at least a few times.

Yes, it specifically says that if my target is a threat to town they die. The word is used

Not really. I am quite suprised scum havent made an offer to Onid and Cninj for their loyalty yet. They must be close if not at a majority with their help.

I think at this point we need to think about what we want. If GNips is the only town is it really worth trying to help him win? Seems a lost cause as even Bike Stunts may have better things to do than protect him at night.

Something to think about anyway.

A lot of stuff happened while I was asleep, apparently.

Pod was lying about even having a scanner. That would have been enough for me to get rid of him, regardless of any complicating factors. You don't fake claim to avoid a lynch and then expect to live.

But then he had a heart attack. Convenient for us. Turned out he was telling the truth about being a Jailer and about being self-aligned.

Here's a rundown of everyone who's left, their claims, and my thoughts on them:

@Caldias - claims self-aligned Customs Agent

Caldias was one of the driving forces pushing for a PodRacer lynch. I don't mind that too much, even though I eventually went for not lynching him. The role, however, fits right in with what we've seen so far. Pity you didn't take all of ovi's spice when you targeted him. He would have won then.

Wait. Did you get anything from ovi?

@Bike Stunts - claims self-aligned Mad Doctor

Claimed to get the village off of its PodRacer loop. If he were scum, he'd be more than happy to just let that roll. I'm gonna call him honest here.

@Visovics - claims Super Cop (I can't find the post where he claims, so I don't know the exact name)

I don't have much here - most of his interaction has been with PodRacer. Got jailed last night, so we don't even have results yet. His final claim is consistent with his early interactions with Pod, though, and the anger at being jailed matches his role. I'll trust him for the moment.

@CaribbeanNinja - claims self-aligned Demolitions Expert (PGO)

Toad's death means that I'm inclined to believe the claim. Could be honest about the role but lying about the alignment, I guess.

@GhostofNobodyInParticular - claims Town, but no role yet

I don't know what to think here. Vics role points towards this being maybe correct. And in an environment where there are so many already claiming self-aligned, I wouldn't think a scum would want to make a town claim - it would stick out like a sore thumb and draw unwanted attention. On the other hand, if Vics is evil, then these two are totally in cahoots. Vics claimed that his role PM talks about the town, and Nippy is the only one to say he's town.

@Madaghmire - unclaimed

Mad hasn't claimed, even under pressure of being an alternate lynch target. Could still be evil, but his desire to get Pod out of the way seems sincere. He didn't do much defending of himself - mostly, his posts in response to votes have been "Why me, when Pod is so obivously evil?" With Pod's flip, Mad is my #1 suspect now. Mostly because of how hard he pushed for a Pod lynch.

I don't suspect him hardcore - in terms of percentages, I think I'm 60-40 for him being scum. Not high at all. That he's #1 on my suspicion list goes to show how badly the Pod sideshow has hurt our ability to find the scum, rather than saying anything about him.

@JJs Juggernaut - unclaimed

Quiet, but that's par for the course. Real life excuses and all that. Still, hasn't said enough for me to get a good read on him. Deserves more scrutiny.

@Ginkapo - unclaimed

RL stuff gives him a pass for the last little bit, and the next little bit. Managed to participate anyways, which is much appreciated. I'd like to see a claim. I'm not so sure we're at LyLo - given how many self-aligned there are, and I'm starting to have questions there.

And, of course, I've claimed (truthfully!) self-aligned trader. I turned against a Pod lynch for a while, though I'll fully admit that I had ulterior motives. One - I legitimately felt bad for him, and wanted to give him as much benefit of the doubt as I could. I was rather convinced that his self-aligned claim was true. The second reason was more mercenary - I wanted his personal shield. Now that I know that it's a bulletproof vest, however, I'm glad things turned out the way they did. I already have one of those.

It would be nice if all of us self-aligned folks could sit down and look at all of our win conditions and decide how best we can meet them all.

Also, Gink, I'm not just a survivor - I have to trade for 3 items that I didn't start with. I've got 1 of them. So I can't win yet, therefore I'm in favor of the game moving on for long enough for me to trade for those 3 items. Also, with so many self-aligned, I wouldn't be surprised if the scum had to kill or outnumber everyone, not just the town.

I didn't get anything from Ovi. I can inspect, and then I can attempt to confiscate any target I've previously inspected on another night.

Gotcha. Well, go ahead and inspect me tonight. I'm going to try and trade spice for other items tonight, and the next night if there is one, you can confiscate and I'll trade again. That's two of our win cons fulfilled.

Wait, actually, I have an identity scanner. It's only a role cop ability, not a faction cop, but it could ferret out a liar. I don't have the actions to use it and trade, so does anyone have an item they're willing to trade for it?

CNinja claims to be a PGO (affecting anyone who visits him), and his claimed flavor matches with the flavor of Toad's death.

I thought it was logical. My booby trap went off. The Toad is "burnt and nearly unrecognizable"

Ovi seemed to be assassinated.

I'm not saying my explanation is 100% but it seemed like what happened to me. I thought his identity scanner was a role, not an object. I thought he was using it on me.

I assumed it was a PGO kinda thing, E-Webs are stationary turrets
