So someone who knows the meta better please explain why voting for PodRacer hurts town? Cause to me, it seems to help us more than anything. One thing I am sure of is he most likely isn't town, as there'd be no reason to claim 3rd party, right? So let's say he's a jailkeeper and is 3rd party, i.e. telling the truth. So lynching him a) 99% guarantees we lynch a non-town, but could possibly nab a scum player, b) still leaves us with votes and other interactions to go off of for Day 2. So then if he's telling the truth, once he gets his win condition, what keeps him from wreaking havoc by roleblocking things just to let the world burn. Is it possible he has a win condition of "help town win?" If that's the case I'm willing to look elsewhere, but if not then my vote is leaning more towards him.

i suspect you can probably read him better than me at this point
I think the two of you are in cahoots, but you're the better read right now IMO.
30 minutes ago, Truthiness said:I think the two of you are in cahoots, but you're the better read right now IMO.
Dont get me wrong i think hes 100% scummy 100% likely to be that town guy who will refuse to get on board if he is town, 100% been the guy who outed me which we know can confirm is 100% not town, 100% could be the single best thing to happen for this town because exposing me so early ensures that im am left virtually no chance to ever pull a scumswitch in this scenario and if i suspect correctly has been vital in screwing one or two of his scummy buddies way worse than hes screwed himself, if thats the case we can keep him around to remind him of his wonderful deed and execute him wenever he steps out of line again, Other players top his efforts but i would be very interested to use town roles to check his allegiance out in all this, as we cant rule out he wouldnt be a strong ally also, 100% ginks playing the gink game and you called bull early so im very interested in your opinion
and anyone else for that matter
how do we solve a problem like ginkapo?
Definately not someone i want playing games in the scumchat
19 hours ish
1 minute ago, PodRacer said:and anyone else for that matter

Are you talking about this game, or is this a broader meta question?
Because if it's the latter, then here's my take:
I don't think we have a "Gink" problem. Full stop.
Now, if you're talking about suspecting him of being scum in this game, then there's only one way to solve that problem, and we all know what that is. ![]()
And if i would level the scumchat accusation at gink, i would point the same question at oni and mad
Visovics has to keep his balls rocksolid so we can keep tabs on his play easy enough
Who else was fool enough to vote me?
And @TheToad is really struggling to convince me he would be a strong player for either faction
my hammer can be convinced to fall on any of these 5 and town can sleep a bit safer for it.

So now you're just throwing stank at everyone who voted you?...
Except for truth, who you're asking for advice from( btw truth is still voting for your death)
for the record I still believe that lynching you wouldn't be all that foolish, I'm still not 100% convinced that you aren't scum trying to claim 3rd party
Sorry had to work a 12 hour shift today. Grabbing food and checking votes.
Note: Day end is 9am EDT Saturday AM. Ya'll got another day and change left.

TheToad,
Notably, the closest @PodRacer came to being hammered was -2. (Toad unvoted him before Truthiness jumped onboard) It's 7 to hammer guys!
Also, I would like to point out that at 9 AM EDT tomorrow morning there will be 24 hours left in the day. Just FYI.

Of the 5 that voted i suspect there to be at least 2 or maybe more scum within those ranks, ~~some i can account to confused town doing the right thing but i thought i had made it clear that votes or threat of votes against me will do little to stop what im trying to do here. Armed with that fact you continue to push the" your not town so im well within my rights to vote for you" bandwagon.
You dont seem to be actively looking for anyone else to suspect or helping the town in any constructive way that i can see. Even the higher suspects up my list have begun the process of de~escalation and moved on with slipping off the radar somewhat.
Your definately not selling hairnets or doin jokey votes anymore, and you dont currently have another bandwagon to jump on so your kind of hanging there a bit of a spare part at the moment. IMO
More sly was Madaghmire and onidsens little post and like, that reeked of a high five celebrating one of them getting into the scumchat, And again i saw very little "honour" there. These two are still hoping for a way to strongarm a bunch of good townspeople into a panic vote.
Attention People of Town.
I am plotting an elaborate town win that will involve co ordinated efforts to protect me from scum attack, whilst simultaneously using abilities such as watcher and various others to gather vital information on the scum (that i will not be privvy to) this will all be to your benefit later on.
The 3 or 4 scum cannot properly co ordinate at the moment without their chatterbox, We will not have a method of communicating secretly. however after day/night town will not be able to raise their suspicions without alerting scum to there role and certain night death. So again im asking follow my lead or stay out of my way till such time as you dont believe im acting with town at heart.
Vanilla townies
You have no powers to defend yourself and do not wish to be outed, You wish to protect yourselves and move yourself and town towards the big win? If im protected and watched, scum will be forced to shoot blind hoping to hit either the doc or the watcher or another role vital to the towns plan.
I cannot guarantee that you will not get caught in the crossfire today tommorow or any other time.
You can do town the world of good by badgering and bothering my list of suspects, hold them to account for every action they make from now on. I sincerely doubt that my prime suspects will change so you need to be onboard and accountable to be down to kill one of those 5 and accept the risk of a friendly fire If you/we are wrong
May the force be with you.
choose wisely
@JJs Juggernaut how would feel about casting the first stone as opposed to recieving it for a change?
7 hours ago, PodRacer said:Who else was fool enough to vote me?
I can't consider anybody who voted for you to have done so foolishly, given the whole you dug.

So. . . 5 scum, all perfectly identifiable?

Um. . . what do you mean by that? How did you get the impression of a high-five? And what honor would you have expected to see?

So, the issue with this, aside from the fact that nobody completely trusts you, is that it will require a decent amount of our resources to carry it off, and most of them will be focused on you. If you are scum, what better way to ease your job then having a doc and watcher focus their attention on you?
It may be a good plan to confirm your innocence, but if you are not innocent, then it's also a great set-up. Especially because the doc is the one who should be protecting power roles, not a jailkeeper.

Especially not a jailkeeper that is of different alignment
So Truth, would you care to elaborate on why you were so much into lynching Gink, with one of his posts you end up on his side, and after people point out you did this, you turn back on Gink for a question he asked investigating Pod, and that seemed a totally valid question, and you kept insistence on Gink while all turned to Pod as prime suspect, you then also turn to Pod as he is not claiming, and after he claims you say it's too late and that you'll keep your vote there because you truly think it's him?

Indeed, 'twas very convoluted. However I do believe he said he's just a vanilla following his gut, which is annoyingly impossible to verify without his death. He still played rather haphazardly for somebody who's played so many times though, and so I do want an explanation for his actions, and indeed reactions.
In order to discard one possibility I would like to really know if scum have only night chat.
I suppose it. Everybody suppose it. And I easily imagine they laughing on us if they have day chat.
Forget it. They could have a masonry anyway.
However I would like to know about the night chat only. I don't see it in the op.

It was assumed standard practice even when not mentioned because that's how it was for the past two games. No real basis for the assumption though, and if Biggs is considering this 'crazy', then it's actually likely that they have Day Chat. A Masonry would be redundant.
