[MAFIA] Death on the Independent Station - Day 5

By BiggsIRL, in Star Wars: Armada Off-Topic

Rockhaven Station is defiantly not a pirate base.

I mean, why would you think that? It might be outside of normal shipping lines, have no official presence from the local government, sector government, or Imperial bureaucracy. It might be a home base to people with rap sheets longer than their tax records. But don't dare call it a pirate base!

Well, I mean, pirates did operate out of it, but they behaved when they were onboard, or else!

That is why it was so surprising when someone turned up dead. Blasted several times at close range, and then throat slit as he tried to crawl away, everyone could agree that "Big" Gsirl wasn't well liked, but there were RULES on this station. You don't just kill someone in the dark. You shoot them in the face while their crew watched.

The question was, could the denizens of Rockhaven Station work together to find the culprit before they joined Captain Gsirl, slowly getting cold in the station's med bay?

What's this game like?

I'm looking for as many players as I can get. Each "Day" will last 96 hours ( 4 days! ), and each "Night" will last 24 (or until all night actions are in, whichever comes first). Each day you will need to find and vote to kill the threats to the TOWN. You can do this by typing "##Vote PlayerName". You only get one vote, so if you vote again it changes your vote to another player. You can also "##vote no one" and skip your lynch for the day if the majority agrees. This is not a good idea. You are proud pirates legitimate businessmen, and catching the SCUM and ending their threat is more important than one or two of you being killed by mistake, especially if it isn't you! It is important to always be communicating. If someone is being quiet after all, they may just be SCUM trying to hide their true identity!

After the day ends, or the "hammer" falls (a majority votes on a target) it becomes Night on the Station. While most people turn in for the night the SCUM become active and cause mayhem. Fortunately some of you may be better equipped for this than the average legitimate businessman and have your own strengths that come into play at nightfall.

What If I am not Playing?

You should play. But if you really insist on not playing, then don't post in the threat.

How do I win?

Read your role PM, it will tell you what you need to do to achieve victory!

Special Note:

This game is not going to be balanced, but it will be crazy. You should sign up.

THERE MIGHT BE DAY ACTIONS. If someone does one, STOP POSTING. I'll sort things out when I can.

Can we have a slower paced game? Especially if you plan on introducing day roles.

Plus slower may mean more people can commit.

ALWAYS count me in

I'm really looking forward to whatever biggs' definition of crazy looks like, considering what he thinks is sane

Also, 96 hour days. You're welcome.

And I thought I was crazy

@JJs Juggernaut 96 hour days. This should suit you better

Oh YES . If you do this stuff and people like it, then I can do it, and unleash the crazy that I've been dreaming up!*

*Crazy not guaranteed

So outside people can't threaten us of any sort? I like that

one thing from last game, the use of nicknames when voting, to a new player i was very confused, is it ok to use nicknames when voting?

If they're well established. So Truthi, Slippy Nippy, Biggs, Vis, Gink, etc appear to be well established.

If you use the nickname enough in your posts, then vote using it, is should be obvious to determine for whom you are voting, like ##vote Pod implying I'm voting for you. Unless we have usernames PodRacer and PodCaster in the game, in which case it's best to use the whole name.

It probably doesn't help that I change my name. . . :D

i knew who you meant, but wasnt sure if it was a gamey way of getting other players to expose themselves, i didnt want to vote, only for it to be turned round as these arent official votes, and now you have outed yourself... make sense?

Yep. Never fear, if the votes are in the

##vote

format, they're official.

Edit - Another way to tell their legitimacy is when the GM posts the vote tallies, wherein you can see that all votes are officially recognized.
