Hmmm... should have thought about this more. Was really hoping for win last night as I didn't fancy my squadron-less super-pickle fleet facing @Tokra and his Sloane-infused ball of fighters again. So now it looks like I'm facing @Gilad Pellaeon... and his Sloane-infused ball of fighters. Yay :-(

I have to be honest. I was hoping for Dr.Alex to win :P.
Two lists without squadrons in the top 8 are better for me ;).

For this tourney, given the lists, this is a good assumption. However in general I was a bit surprised that you didn't include Rhymer in your list to mitigate a weak spot against squadronless fleets :)

The weak spot of the list are other squadron lists. When i add Rhymer, i will lose control over the enemy squadrons and lose damage.
On top Rhymer does not profit from Sloane against ships.
For a non-Sloane list i would maybe add Rhymer. But for Sloane he is not really good.

And squadronless lists are already easier with this fleet (easier than against heavy squadron lists). Rhymer does not change so much on it.

I think that without Rhymer your squads would drop way too fast vs QLT heavy flak and the ships don't present enough threat.

And how many QLT do we have in the tournament? Compared to heavy squadron lists? :P ( i found 0). As long as no one is playing a QLT, even if it "might" be a counter, it is no danger.

I find the QLT still way to weak, without any better upgrade combinations.
QLT does not help against the high hull rebel squadrons. And has little use against the Scatter aces. it is only good against generic TIE Fighter and TIE Interceptors.

Toryn Farr-boosted QLT. And overlapping TF-boosted flak fields. This cleans up scatter aces and hi-hull squads pretty effectively. I just don't see it very often.

As in 0 on this tournament? :D

That's why I said - in general ;) I played Kallus-enhanced QLT in a squadronless fleet at Nova and it was pretty effective in cleaning out squads.

Maybe this is already posted in this thread but where are these games being streamed?

We rarely stream - you just long onto vassal and watch. Or watch the recording after.

To watch the games,

1.) download and install the Vassal board game engine,
2.) download and open Star Wars Armada Module for Vassal (be sure you get the .vmod and both .vmdx files--the .zip is a little more complicated and you can safely skip it)
3.) download the log file of the game you want to watch--you'll find them linked individually in most of the game reports in this thread.

Then you can load up the .vlog (log file) of the game you want to watch in Vassal to replay the game.

There's a pretty good--albeit somewhat outdated--Vassal setup guide here: http://xwingtactics.blogspot.com/2015/08/vassal.html. I'm pretty sure Green Knight has some getting started Youtube videos out there too that you can search for.

CNinja v MHD goes down to an 87-68 victory (whopping 19 MOV) to me.

MHD chose to go second, which ended up to be crucial. I chose his Hyperspace Assault and we basically played ring around the Debris.

I bagged an almost impossible to kill Raider and his FSprays.

MHD got my Gozantis and three Interceptors.

It is always a pleasure to take on MHD, and I'm rooting for him in the eliminations!

There is one last match that could change the eliminations. If this last match has a MOV bigger than 386 it will change the wild cards.

That match runs on Sunday.

I can already see it. Maturin is winning with a MOV of 390, and we will still have no second wild card and have to wait for the second place from NA_W :P

NA:E sector win big or go home matchups:

To qualify for eliminations you have to A) win and B) get a better MoV than the other guy.

1: @mhd VS @CaribbeanNinja
2: @PartyPotato VS @Paindemic7708

I messaged @PartyPotato, hopefully we will be able to schedule our doom pickle showdown before the deadline (whenever that is lol).

The deadline is next Sunday (i.e. 1 week after NA:W finishes sector play).

They're obviously space potatoes... not pickles... and one clearly knows how to party hard...

Barring unforeseen circumstances, the pickle vs potato showdown (@PartyPotato vs Paindemic) is set for 9pm eastern time tonight.

After CRUNCHing some numbers, and a DILLy of a good game... Paindemic's pickle wins 227-66 over the giant space PartyPotato. The Potato fried up my Bright Hope and squadrons real good, but his Pelta and Frigate couldn't handle the power of my full on cucumber barrage, consigning them to the briny depths of space.

With a MoV of 161 @Paindemic7708 has a good chance of proceeding to eliminations?

OR can mhd/caribninja produce an even greater MoV?
