We already know that @Tokra will place 1st and go directly to eliminations.

There are still too many games unplayed to predict who will enter the extra qualification round.

@roquax is in the same position as Tokra - he's already qualified.

We have a god idea who will battle in the bonus round, but the match on the 2nd table isn't done yet, so we can't say for certain.

Skycake won the bid, went first and we played my fighter ambush.

I knew I was in trouble when I saw @SkyCake's fleet is almost like one I played in a store tourney a little ways back. I LOVE his squad load out, and it did work in this game. I attempted to use my x wings as bombers to start because I felt like I was at a disadvantage on going toe-to-toe with that ridiculousness. Luke actually killed something for once in my life, but his Kenyan killed more. ALOT more. There was alot of ship carnage on both sides, but his Yavaris and MC30 lived, which add in 6 fighter ambush tokens and that will guarantee a win most of the time.

It's always cool to play Skycake and I look forward to future games. Now that I'm out of the tourney though, I think I'm gonna go figure out WTF to fly for regionals, because apparently I'm not on the right track.

Roquax's destruction of Paindemic achieving a perfect 30 points and mathematically clinching the division really takes all of the pressure off of Gilledpalleon and my upcoming battle. So tune in tonight to see how quickly a Jendon/Merek combo burns through a raider swarm!

I actually really liked your list... It's nice to see others throwing down the pelta instead of yvaris. I wish I had the balls ha... But seriously, jan, biggs, luke, xwings, backed up by a pelta with toryn and all fighters follow me is a fairly lethal alpha... Going to have to try this, as I've been thinking about it for a while and after seeing it okay night, I'm inspired to try it...

Losing forum of the bat was pretty sad, and her lack of presence was a good reminder of how valuable she is.

yeah, like I said during the match. The list was missing some components for the pelta. I "kinda" like it? The command version is fun, but I kinda want to add AFFM so I can alpha better. That iteration may make the rounds.

Mind you, I'm not using RLB. I'm not F'n Daft!

Unfortunately, lots of things came up, and I won't have any free time to play my match, so I have to concede this round to @Doppelganger. Although I do hope once my schedule clears we may see how this would have gone, but I don't think it will be anytime soon

I know you are counting a bit different over there. But 19+10 should be 29 .

On the subject of whether vassal still loves me.

Just rolled 10dmg of my first dice roll. Six dice. 10 dmg.

@Dorrin314 Vs @Villakarvarousku Goes to me 212 to 185.

We played @Villakarvarousku's Open Salvo for laughs. He deployed very well keeping Avenger away from his MC-30. We had small ships dying to Opening Salvo barrages all over the place. Overall a very fun game to end the tournament on.

To be fair... I killed Bright Hope. All of my transport captains had been drinking very heavily before the engagement!

I just remembered that I actually took a log file in case anyone's interested.

Fun, close game, and plenty of carnage to go around even when I was mostly trying to avoid Avenger. Also, I was not expecting to see my CR90B one-shot a Raider. Probably took me more by surprise than it did Dorrin.

Dr Alex Vs @Irishmadcat has finished. We played my most wanted and my cheapest ship was more expensive that his most expensive so that kind of backfired.

It was also good to play someone who really knows how to use Sato, rather than someone who gets 10-1'd and blames their list.

Irish set up his hammerheads opposite my MC80 and got a spotter in, thankfully he then got his hammerheads in the way of each other so I killed them all, which included Sato - his most wanted. His fighters took down two corvettes including my most wanted, one of his hammerheads took out one of mine just before it died and his transports escaped, just.

overall 260-159 to me, MoV 101 so a 7-4.

James was a great bloke to play and also showed me how to use discord (my girlfriend was out so I could make noise) which was good.
