The battle of the assassin droids is over.
Cninja 441 Thrindal 171 (270 MOV)
Thrindal chose first and my Fire Lanes. Having two Lambdas really messed with his plans. I ended up strategerizing the tokens all over the place, and then under his ISD, nabbing 14 by the end. Thrindal got 4. That was pretty much the story of the game.
My Sloane squads were able to kill all of his Sloane TIEs, and he got two of my Interceptors. I got Sloane's ISD and Thrindal got Squall and my CommsNet Gozanti.
I set up the grav well in the middle and grav shifted the 'roids in his ISDs path. Having to take the damage really put the hurt on Sloane's ISD, which was eventually popped by Demo.
A really relaxed game that was super fun! It was a pleasure playing Thrindal. We both agree that next time we are bringing better fleets (Sloane-less)

Great game, lots of fun, very poor choice of objective by me and I'm glad I don't have to break out that fleet again. Thanks for the fun and relaxed game!

Cactus concedes to @Tokra for an 8-0 148 MOV win to Tokra. We played his Superior Positions.
For a game in which only a single squadron died and no tokens had been farmed, you could be forgiven for thinking this was an unreasonable decision and I can only hope that those of you who have played me before will understand that I don't do something like this without great consideration. But when the board state is so bad that you try to kill your own ship with Jerry and a nearby debris field to not immediately lose the game on points, you know you've lost. Especially when that suicide fails.
I set up planning for a more aggressive game against Tokra's squadrons, but his constant Jamming Field presence meant that even with all my black dice I couldn't even kill his generic TIE fighters in one turn, much less his aces. When he blocked everything up on his side on turn 2, and I wasn't in a position to assault immediately, the game was essentially over. I couldn't effectively attack, and he could hit me with near impunity. I was about to trade either all of my squadrons, or give him nearly infinite tokens. In either case, the game was over.
Because of how unusual this situation is, I'm making the log available for review.

Shouldn't Tokra have 10 points if that were the case? Unless he is fine taking an 8.

Apparently, it's changed to an 8-0 140 MOV unless the score at time of concession would be higher.

Tokra couldn't be caught unless he lost like 8-3 so I think he is alright

It is only 8 points and a MOV of 140 (same as a bye), if the current match has a MOV lower than 140. It is so easy to abuse it (in special circumstances). Only good that Armada player and not this way, and it was never a problem so far

I have to agree to @thecactusman17 . He was in a really bad position, and there was not much he could do. Even if you see the log, it does not seem to be this way. But if you plan the next 2 turns, there is no way out of this.
And i can understand that a concede is the better choice instead of watching to go down (and knowing how it will go). This is not fun. And playing while not having fun, is not good.
In turn 3 he even tried to kill his own Gozanti by flying on a debris (and seriously, this was the best move with it and my respect for it). But he missed the debris and i could have gained the kill and 3 victory tokens from it. And after this his ISD would go down, without much he can do against it. It was a bad matchup, and a bad position. In the end it was as well a movement error to fly this far.
But one more part to mention that i noticed in this match. Jamming Field and Tie Aces are a real killer for a Decimator fleet. These Decimators cannot do anything useful. They have waste attack after attack into the Aces. I guess this was by far the worst for him. And maybe the reason he didn't try to attack the squadrons. Killing one Ace for 15 points in exchange for losing the all the own squadrons? No good choice.

That's true. Even with a 4-7 i would have still be first.

For what it's worth: In this very special situation I think a concession was a good call.

Don't have time for a long writeup, but I do want to make sure I put it out there that DD was one of the best sports I've played against. This game came down to a very tight incidental double arc followed by a very close Avenger-vs-Mon Karren head-to-head that he only lost because I managed to fish up the Sloane accs I needed. After MK went down in turn 3 (maybe opening of 4?), DD had zero offense, and I offered him the option to concede with no hard feelings despite us both knowing we were in it for MoV. He opted to stick it out and give me the rest of the points, even though it was getting late.
So, super salute to DoubleDown. o7 If we're doing honorable mentions for sportsmanship, he's got my vote.
And as usual, I forgot to start the log til halfway through Turn 1. LOG FILE
