I always confirm with my opponent as to what time they are at, like "I can play at 7:00pm CST, that's 12:00AM GMT, right?" lets them help you with the math.

Me too. I confused Broba by giving time in GMT, BST, Broba Standard Time, And BrobaST+1 hour for DST. :)

My game v Broba has recommenced.

And the game versus @BrobaFett has ended! It went to me 223-129, for an MoV of 104, a 7-4 victory to me. We played my Contested Outpost.

The game was a close one, and Broba could easily have won, but his dice betrayed him, and rolled poorly. He failed to kill a GSD on turn 2 even after it had been attacked twice by the VSD and once from Avenger, and the vessel didn't go down till round 5. On turn 6 he missed killing my ISD by ONE DAMAGE. It was ridiculous! In return, I failed to kill a tokenless Mauler over 3 turns of shooting.

The first turn was basically simple movement. I claimed the token from the Objective, and our ships got into position. Two GSDs closed on Mini-Avenger, one from the rear, the other from the front. The third tried circling Avenger.

Turn 2, his VSD fired on Goodbye, Sweet Existence, removing some shields. The GSD then moved into Mini's rear arc, where the Gozanti's activated and after 3 fighters and 2 shots, they only managed to strip 3 shields from it. I got the Obj. Token.

Turn 3, Avenger double arced the Goodbye at long range, and failed to kill it, leaving it with 3 shields and 4 health. It was a sad day for Avenger's gunners. The GSD double-arced the VSD, but only wounded it slightly before it fled, and ended up double arced. The other GSD (Gonna So Die (G.S.D.)) fired, and the unlucky 'Venger wannabe got over the three attacks the 3 unlucky crits - it had to remove a dice from attacks, it couldn't use accs, and it couldn't use crits. Gonna then rammed the VSD. I got the Obj. Token.

Turn 4, the VSD whiffed its double-arced shots against Goodbye, and rammed Gonna. It also RBDed to remove 3 cards. It then died to a perfect roll from the sidearc of Goodbye. The ISDs squared off, and neither of us got the Obj. Token this turn. I did however one-shot Hondo's Token Shack from my ISD's front.

Turn 5, Goodbye was finally brought down by fighters from Anti-Sloane (who never used Slicers, I just realized). I fired from GLAD to be alive (for now) at the rear arc of his last Goz, which had alraedy taken fire from my ISD and Gonna. I rolled 2 crits at long range, and he decided to save his scatter and took a damage, bringing it to 1 health. I then rammed it, and killed it. Broba got the Obj. Token.

Turn 6, His Avenger attacked the shieldless side-arc of my ISD, which was on 2 hull after he had used BTs last turn whilst double-arcing. Unfortunately for him, he rolled 3 damage, and I redirected to my rear (my last two shields) whilst he acc'd the brace, and the ISD limped away on 1 health. I failed to kill any of his squads, and we called it after his activation. There is a chance I could have killed his generic Advanced, and MAYBE Zertik, but it is doubtful. Broba got the Obj. Token.

Broba played very well this game, and but for the poor dice rolls of Turns 2 and 6, would have won. He still would have won had he rolled 1 more damage turn 6 against the ISD, and had the GSD died turn 2, the VSD would likely have killed Gonna, and I would have lost 2 GSDs and the ISD. GLAD was essentially out of the fight until turn 5.

Why do I feel like this is a recurring theme for games on Broba? @Green Knight did you put anything in the module against Broba?

He was bemoaning it all game long. Apparently his last 5 or 6 games have been like that. :(

@Drasnighta, how have your rolls been recently? Has Broba swapped luck with you? :) (I am joking, but seriously - how have your rolls been? I hope they're better).

Dice Suck doesn't transfer, it only multiplies.

The dice roller hates everyone, me included.

It used to love @Ginkapo, but not sure about that anymore.

It still does :)

Further messed up by - is that GMT pre-DST, or is actually GMT+1? :)

This is why you should never compare time zones, but instead countries or even cities. GMT never changes, but I need to know what time it is in London or Berlin or Melbourne for most of my games in the Euro league.

@Tokra and I will be playing at 10:30am my time, which should be 7:30pm (19:30) his time

Doobleg vs @rasproteus is set for Saturday Sept 16th 0200 GMT! :D

**Snip**

You said it all ghost. Thanks for the great game! In hindsight, I can appreciate how the smallest events like one shot of dice shape an engagement, and feel good about how I played what was in my control. Really, the majority of my frustration was coming from the screaming baby and just misdirected at another thing I couldn't control. Apologize for that.

Also, want to reiterate that it wasn't cold dice that lost this for me, it was Ghost putting himself consistently into a position where I was forced to make sub optimal use of my ships attacks. With a weakened GSD in my front arc and a nearly dead one in my rear, the last thing I want to be doing is shooting the next to dead one twice. But I was forced to make sub optimal decisions like that all game not just because of the dice, but because NIPs consistently took advantage of the battlefield to give his ships an advantage. He could have played poorly and still lost, but he didn't, he earned every point he got this game by playing very well.

Other than the fact we both deployed a ship to far out of the battle :D

Been there. :( It's tough to keep your cool with a screaming baby AND getting whooped in space.

Finally, some logfiles again!

Just rapped up with Comatose. First, great opponent. Absolutely a blast to play. This game could of very easily went the other way if the dice gods had decided not to bless me with their divine favor. Game ended 9-2 with an mov of 250 to me.

Pretty much came down to an Ackbar slash taking two hammer heads off the board before they could activate. I needed high damage rolls which typically is not my strong suit. But I got the perfect damage outputs that I needed that turn which saved my 200 pt "Indestructable".

On that same note... holy smokes those hammer heads put out some serious damage collectively. I think in turn 2 or 3 they put out 15+ damage on my MC80.

He kept a log file for those that are interested.

Thanks again for the great game Comatose!

@DoubleDown217 vs Ard (likely Part I) is scheduled for 1930 PST on Tuesday 19 Sept.

Doobleg vs Rasproteus is done, and doobleg comes out the victor 320-201 (119 mov).

Fun game, with a proper write-up up to come... :)

Ard vs @Matt Antilles wrapped up:

Ard (W) 236 || 95 Mantilles (L)

My investment in vodka continued to pay dividends today as both shots against Avenger fell flat, then Sloane's well-trained fighter crews repaid pillows with steel, shutting out both brace and redirect on Adar's frigate. We called it at the end of round 4, as we were both just disengaging anyway.

I'll post the log later.

Still counts.

Only ended up with a log of Turns 1-3. Turn 4, the AF2 in Avenger's front arc opened up on her, whiffed in a big way, hopped over the ISD to land double-arced in Avenger's side/rear. Avenger had a squadron dial, squads exhausted brace and redirect, and Avenger popped that AF2 before running across the finish line.

In return, Matt got shots off on the wounded Gozanti, finishing it off before taking off into the sunset with Ackbar. The Quasar then ran off too. There was no more engagement after turn 4.

So, I killed off his full squadron contingent except Gold Squadron; he killed Soontir, my Gozanti, and... I think two interceptors. I got two victory tokens, he got one.

Sorry this took so long to get posted. I'm super duper on top of things.

So response from @itzSteve yet, pinging here as well.

Waiting on a response from @GiledPallaeon as well.

Should have a reply in your inbox.

On that note, @Green Knight, what's with the matchups in NA: East? Shouldn't 1&2 play and 3&4, instead of the 1&3/2&4 thing going on right now?

No problem. :)

Green, several ages ago, said that it was random within each range. I believe a similar thing happened last Round (hence his mentioning of it).

Yes. @GiledPallaeon it's only points, not MoV that is used. And its random within those with equal pts.
