The thought of another Sloane battle terrifies me.

That's the spirit! ;)

The game between myself and @BrobaFett is currently scheduled for today (Wednesday 13th of September) at 8 PM GMT (that's 9 PM GMT+1 - i.e. current London time).

Who is this Sloane? As far as I've seen, Akbar with an MC80 and light support is the only kind of fleet people brought. @Paindemic7708 @rasproteus @PartyPotato

Look at that. Already in first place.

I'm surprised I'm in first place at the start of round 3. It's almost like I know what I'm doing.

And that clearly isn't the case, so what has happened?

The answer is that no one knows anything and Amanda ARMADA is entirely random

Thinking about it, in my last six tournament games (vassal and real life) 50% have been against Sloane. Small sample size, for sure, but she's definitely the new hotness.

I'm like the reverse. I have yet to face Sloane since the week after the release.

Honestly I make it up as I go. Slap down my ships at deployment and just run with it.

Max dice rolls are also very helpful.

So true. Sometimes it seems that i am the only one who has success with Sloane.
No Sloanes in most Store Championships (in the higher ranks) and no success on most Nationals.

Better hope i never switch a "useful" admiral :P.

I will run Sloane in SC on Saturday. We'll see.

...my last SC was with Jerjer and few squads, so I want a change.

This has been my experience too.

Now Leia Hammerhead spam.... that has made up at least 50% of the field at every tournament I've been to since release.

Caldias won a SC with Sloane and Avenger. Just not recorded with forums.

I think this speaks to the quality of the game at this stage. There are a lot of different fleets and fleet styles that can be very successful. Even by looking at just list vs. list, I might be able to predict a winner, but player skill makes a much bigger difference than fleet.

See your first mistake Mood, was trying to use the mustache ride AGAINST the mustache ride...I'm surprised your own ships didn't start self-imploding.

I was worried about Biggs actually destroying biggs and causing some sort of rift....or even worse, mimicking a Rick and Morty episode.....

(yes, @CaribbeanNinja, I started watching them...:D)

The game between myself and @BrobaFett has been moved up, and is starting now.

I know I can take any list and lose to @comatose with it. The diversity of my losing meta is amazing.

GMT and BST are different. GMT never changes.

I know. But many people conflate the two, and so give time in GMT, when they really mean BST. Other times, even when the writer writes GMT and means GMT, the reader reads BST.

So if I was 2 hours ahead of London, and said I wanted to play at 9 GMT desiring to play at 11 local time, my opponent might read that properly, and be waiting at 12 local time. Conversely, I may write 8 GMT, meaning to play at 11, and the opponent would be waiting at 10.

I often mix up the two in my head, sometimes even doing the conversion from GMT to GMT+x, but post the x as GMT, or the GMT as the x, or even reconverting the converting as if I had done no previous conversion, moving forward ror backward 2 or more hours than I intended. It's difficult to keep straight, as for half the year they're the same.

I always confirm with my opponent as to what time they are at, like "I can play at 7:00pm CST, that's 12:00AM GMT, right?" lets them help you with the math.
