Players wanted in Nampa

By Turtlefan2082, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

I am looking for other players in the Caldwell/Nampa area of Idaho. There just doesn't seem to be anyway to locate local players.

Just do what I do, build a couple decks with your collection and force your friends to play with you.

I did what Stormy did this weekend and my friend laughed and smiled the entire way through the game. I then asked him what he though of it, and his response: "Eh, it was okay. It feels an awful lot like a board game. I like the idea of leveling your deck, but you can definitely see their roots (talking about FFG)."

<_<

I just wanted to be like... but... you had fun. So win?

My group just finished the last scenario yesterday, we meet up once or twice a month to play the latest pack.

Such an odd response.

I mean he's right on his analysis, I just don't understand why its a negative.

I do know their competitive cards games are less like board games, so its not like they can't do that.

Construction and player options are a card game. Gameplay feels like a perfect blend of modular board game and tabletop RPG. It's why I love it.

I guess it's kind of like those people who have to make sure none of their food touches on their plate.

He did have fun though (at least by my observations of his behavior), it's not like he was put off or complaining about things constantly.

Anyway, force your friends to play. :)

Event: At the beginning of this phase choose a friend to play AH LCG with you.

Forced: at the end of your turn, if your friend's not loving the game, discard the friend.

( :D OOH OOH, I want to try!)

Treachery
Fun-Sucker
Basic Weakness

Revelation: Begin a sentence with,"Well, actually..." and place Fun-Sucker in your threat area.

Reaction: When you draw a chaos token, complain that you could be rolling dice.

Forced: If you fail any test, flip table. All other players suffer 1 mental trauma and go home.
