This is a stupid build, but somehow it has been winning, someone else should try it.

Rey+Poe, meet your evil counterpart list, Kylo-Rex! Although would be more thematic with Quickdraw. I wonder if there's a viable list there as well, Kylo+Quickdraw.

Kylo + QD Is a recent-ish competitive list, yes. Both fully fattened to the limit. A crit and it's over!

I played against a stridan and hux batwing this weekend at a SC.

Very good combo. Especially with advanced sensors.

Bio, I just gave the OP list a shot (solo playing) against Farmer's Plot Armor list. Man is it one scary list. Poe got absolutely murdered in a couple turns (Damaged Cockpit early lined Rexlar up for the perfect kill). But Dash, plus a couple shots from Poe, was able to put the hurt on. HLC still tears through /D Defenders, and was obviously more than enough to handle Kylo. Dash won at half health, but it could've been worse since he was just one Evade away from eating Blinded Pilot. Fun list, for something completely off the beaten path.

I think your mistake was going for Poe first. That Poe doesn't have good damage output, so you can go after Dash, and Rex is fast enough that he shouldn't get shot very often. You send in Kylo first, to start chasing Dash toward the edge. Rex follows. If Poe intercedes, Rex completely owns him if it's R2D2 Poe, but he needs to hang back a little until Dash is either cornered or comes up after him so he can effectively close the distance.

You're right, given that they both out-PS Dash, I wanted to see if the list's firepower could undo Poe (who's almost always a trap). Definitely look forward to trying the list again.

If there wasn't that stupid 5 point limit (or if Hux was 4), I'm convinced that would be a tier 1 element to a squad.

I have to agree. At 5 with no stress or 4 with stress and he would be a lot more valuable. Compared to Jyn, Rey and Mindlink his cost is kind of laughable. Actually fair, but laughable.

I have hope that Krennic Shuttle might make the game and be a low cost double crew 2 attack dice ship. So it kind of does nothing but support but is really good at it.

Yeah, they can take down Poe, and Rex with his ion cannon can do it solo. No regen if no green moves.

Target priority is fairly messed, I think. Do you shoot the tie that gives extra hits, the one that ruins your day if you leave it for later or the one that's tough to kill without upgrades?

So I removed the Kylo Ren's Shuttle title from my previous list and played a casual game against Dash and Miranda.

Kylo Ren is much better than I at first thought. Miranda dropped a Cluster Mine on Epsilon Leader, and with the help of Sabine removed her from the board. It was great placement by my opponent (two of the mines landed on her), and the first time I have had someone successfully use Advance Slam against me. However, even without Epsilon Leader granting Kylo the ability to take a red maneuver each turn, I was able to position the shuttle where I needed. I managed to destroy Miranda (my red dice were hot) and shutdown Dash from the combination of "I'll Show You the Dark Side" and the stress from "Rebel Captive".

I am tempted to fly it at GenCon, but I need more practice flying large base ships. I landed on one asteroid in the match. I thought I would hit it, but it set me up for the next turn. I should have planned ahead the previous turn to avoid the rock. I think I will spend some time flying the shuttle around asteroids to practice.

I never used Engine Upgrades in the match, but I am sure it would be needed in other fights. I am curious if "A Score to Settle" is needed or if it will hurt me more than it helps. I did not need to use it in this game. What is the community's thoughts on "A Score to Settle"?

I tried A Score to Settle just once in various versions of this list. I thought it hurt more than helped, because the shuttle often gets shot more than it shoots, especially if a turret is involved. I'm not sure the other zero point EPTs are any better, though.

Good post, Bio. Don't know if I have the guts to run a 49 pt Ups, but I like where your head's at.

I came up with this about a month ago and had fun with it. I had a similar idea of trying to turn Kylo into a knife-fighter. My shuttle got abused by an alpha strike, but Vessery and OL were able to do some work in the meantime.

Shifty Kylo (100)

Kylo Ren (41) - Upsilon-class Shuttle
Expert Handling (2), Fire Control System (2), Inspiring Recruit (1), Pattern Analyzer (2)

Colonel Vessery (33) - TIE Defender
A Score To Settle (0), TIE/x7 (-2)

"Omega Leader" (26) - TIE/FO Fighter
Juke (2), Comm Relay (3)

A good local player around here flew Kylo Quickdraw to the finals at a SC. Kylo was loaded to the grills, it was 55pts, and Quickdraw was loaded fully as well.

Kylo w/ Marksmanship,FCS,Gunner,RebelCaptive,Pattern Analyzer, Kylo Title, Engines.

Quickdraw was all his standard stuff plus Expertise,Sensors cluster goodness with a homing missile.

So, Kylo moves and Marksmanships. Any pilot skill above him that attacks, get ISYTDS, and then Kylo gets two full modded attacks and with Marksmanship you get a crit on each attack, so its a really good chance that crit is going through.

Top 4 match vs Triple Jumps:

Hmm, another build for the upsilon that looks promising. i'll have to try this. Though i must ask, why intel agent?

Ironically a list i had with the Upsilon is the only time ive actually won a tournament rather than flopping the final round. Though i was abusing inspiring recruit and cant seem to find alternate ships to pair it with to change things up lol. As a result i havnt ran the upsilon in awhile because that list was just.....dirty...

Stridan w/ Hux, Recruit, Baffles, PA 41pts
Ryad w/ Juke, x7, mk2 35pts
Sabaac w/ title, LWF, and literally any 0pt EPT i havnt found which one is better lol 24pts

The abuse comes in with baffles + recruit. Remove/Discard are synonymous, and this game makes no mention theyre a different event (the beauty of this argument is if you try to say it doesnt work, guess what Sabine doesnt work either), so when you Baffles the 2nd stress you just took after a Stop into PA'd Hux, Recruit removes the first stress too and you only suffered 1 damage to remove 2 stress and remain stationary. I literally just parked this thing and let my minions dance in R1-3 of me lol. Cant exactly go for the shuttle either since it isnt moving so its very easy to either let the striker/defender just square up and pwn your face or slam right into the shuttle.

Intel Agent with Coordinate is amazing. You look at the dial of the scariest ship, then adjust the TIE Defender as needed. It really makes those close-range crisis moments go your way.

Completely forgot about coordinate, goes to show how often that ability actually does something lol

edit: actually, thats pretty smart. Dial in a 4k on Brath, Intel Agent to see which way is better. If forward works, either dont coordinate or coordinate for a mod. If not, coordinate boost so you basically just caused the defender to do a super elongated sloop.

That would definitely throw some people off. "Defender is totally doing a 4k because defenders....i got this!" *puts blocker ship in the way, Defender 4ks to the left* "Wait, WHAT!?" *Defender barrelrolls and tags the blocker anyway* "Are you serious?" lol
