The premise here is win the bid. Sensor Nets and Fire Lanes outwardly favor my build with two VCX's. The will drive people to jump on Precision Strike, in which case I am primed for a lot of victory tokens to buffer losses from a Hammerhead or two. Rapid Launch Bays are in to carry Luke and a VCX with a bump from Quantum storm. Running Dodonna with so many auto crit options and Boarding Teams doubling damage from flipping structural damage cards, I feel this is ready to take to space. I would like any advice that folks can provide though. I am shaky on using the X-wings as a screen, but I felt the value could be worth it in a pinch with Yavaris.

Thoughts?

EDIT:
I think dropping the Neb-B for another CR90B will free up a lot of points, I just like having the ability to have the 3 x-wings attack twice with one getting reactivated by Adar in the event that I get jumped by a Sloane fleet.
I could also drop RLB and get BCC/Toryn Farr instead.

One thought would be: dont overkill your Yavaris. This ship already has a big red sign on the head. Don't make it even bigger by putting the admiral and adar on it.

I would as well never use Adar and Yavaris on the same ship. You want to abuse the Yavaris. And you can do this best when you fly a squadron with another ship into attack range and make this one ready with Adar. And after this attack twice with the Yavaris.

If you are using this many X-Wings, i would as well try to add Biggs. This way your Squadrons will last longer. Same with Jan Ors. She is able to keep your X-Wings alive for a good time.

And forget Rapid Launch Bays ;). Try it, but i bet you will kick them out really fast. Or IF you want to use it, try it out with Adar on the Transport. 3x Attack with Luke can be really nice.

That's what I was shooting for. I thought Adar had to be used on an activated squadron from the ship he is on. That's why I tossed him on Yavaris; double tap with Yavaris and reset with Adar to have another ship activate later.

I am going to drop the RLB. I've been wondering if I should also drop the two hammerheads and add an MC30c in their place. I mean if I am getting close enough to use a hammerhead, I may as well use something with a few more shields and an extra punch on the double arc. The real question then becomes if I stick with the theme and use APT or use external racks and just really drive it in one turn.

Yes. It work with the 3x attack. But if you use him on another ship, you can move, attack, make him ready again and than use Yavaris for the double attack.

If Adar is on the Yavaris, it does not work. because you have to be already in range for this. You are losing the movement.

You are absolutely right. I might move him over to the GR75 then. I wouldn't know where to stick Dodonna to keep him relatively safe. The CR90 would not be a good idea, despite how fast and maneuverable they are, and I feel like the hammerheads would be begging for death. I'm not sure what to expect in the way of squadron game from this area. They don't seem to get together often except to hold these store tournaments.

I could definitely drop an X-wing to add Jan Ors. What about going with three aces for the counter instead? It would give me 5-7 attack dice (with one or two counters) per round instead of the 4. Maybe add them and Jan?

I'm trying to stay versatile in the event of a failed bid or something.

Jan Orrs is essential for you. Keeps the Xwings alive and the VCXs objective hunting whilst also letting Luke team up with your Crambo90 to pop low hull ships.

She is everything.

Should I just add the TRC to the Neb and find something else to cut back on? I feel like I would be missing an opportunity here otherwise.

Added question

I have made a few edits, but I must say, I am not feeling the squadrons as much after the change and I am pretty worried about Sloane squadrons a bit. Here is my current list.

Commander: General Dodonna

Point Total: 389/400

Assault: Precision Strike

Defense: Fire Lanes

Navigation: Minefields

Nebulon-B Escort Frigate <Flagship> 57

General Dodonna 20

Yavaris 5

CR90 Corvette B 39

Hondo Ohnaka 2

Engine Techs 8

Leading Shots 4

Dodonna’s Pride 6

Hammerhead Torpedo Frigate 36

Lando Calrissian 4

Boarding Engineers 2

External Racks 3

Garel’s Honor 4

MC30c Torpedo Frigate

Fire Control Team 2

Assault Proton Torpedo 5

XX-9 Turbo Lasers 5

Foresight 8

GR-75 Medium Transport 18

Adar Tallon 10

Squadrons

VCX-100 Freighter x2 30

Shara Bey 17

Nym 21

Luke Skywalker 20

The switch to Minefields was to complement Dodonna and give my VCX's some more utility. The hammerheads get beat so bad in practice that I just focused on one with Garel's honor and gave him Lando for a one-off just to get Boarding Engineers close and at least one ram in. Nym will help me strip some defenses with a potential of three attacks. If I can slip him in near their Big target by round two, I should be solid. Luke still does his thing, but really, I am thinking that the potential for a face up crit versus taking two A-wings for defense against Sloane might not be worth it. The GR-75 is really only for activation advantage and an extra squadron pop. Dropping that and Luke could net me 4 A-wings or two and Jan.

This Sloane thing is stressing me out! Lol.

Any advice is still welcome.
