What happened to make the person running it, stop? I never got a chance to go but what was great about it? I've heard it was one of the more fun events, why? Anyone have any positive/negative experiences from it?

Well that sucks. I feel bad that was what happened. For such a big event, you think FFG would possibly try to incorporate it.
His reasons make 100% sense. That's a big financial risk to undertake. I hope he does a smaller scale local event though. I would totally be there.

From the video it sounded like it wasn't permanent. (except the cardshop... RIP, but seriously FFG should look to hire him and whoever else helps him design those cards.). So very saddening no 2017 stele open, always hope for a 2018 stele open and beyond...
