When the game was young we started amassing ships because X wings and A wings etc were simply amazing.
When you start playing D&D Mages are cool, Fighters with 2 handed swords impressive and Clerics are superb...they can cast "Raise Dead". After some megatons of book you rarely see a "naked" basic character on the tables. Kensai, Cavaliers, Blood Mages...
Then one day a friend who migrated far far away returns during his holidays... Wow you play D&D like I did 20 years ago. Lets see...where are the Rogues? And the front line Tank? What means "Half Golem Beastmaster"? Where is my game dudes?
Perhaps the same here. After so many waves not only so many options....Tier 1,2,3 options.
But one day Pathfinder hit the shelves. D&D 2.0. Same feeling but another style. They did the "classic" stuff grest again. So I hope in a future we will see X Wing 2.0 because this is a money maker machine. A plea to those who own X wing. Nothing wrong playing H 6 Minemapping and J5Ks... But for some players nothing compares to a trio of X Wings engaging the enemy.
Pew pew pew.
Till that day...Adapt and Improve if you are a Casual Game. Some players enjoy B Wings and Dagger armed Rogues. Others are exciting exploring new ways to enjoy with Wookie ship and Forged Champons with Mercurial Swords.
Man, I love this games. When a game is so good and so popular...this happens.
