My idea for a Darth Vader boarding party would be "when you reveal a command, you may discard a nav dial or token and this card to choose one enemy ship at close range. If you do so, change that ships speed to zero for the remainder of the round." Probably have to make him cost more for an ability like this. Maybe 7 or 8 points. Just an idea, I doubt they would ever do this. Any thoughts on this idea? Good or bad?

Its a cool concept.
But I shudder at the points to effectiveness as initially presented... But rather than just *****, I want to show why I am uncomfortable with it:
Quick Back-of-Envelope Games Design math:
Consider how much Boarding Teams + Avenger is worth on a single ship. (Comparable effect - No Defense Tokens used)
You're now applying that advantage+bonus to every ship in your fleet.
Assume an average of 3 Ships in the Fleet.
That's how much the Upgrade is worth on back-of-Envelope maths.
(IE, and that's how you can get the idea of Madine vs Nav Teams across 4-5 ships)
Its not perfect math, its Back-of-Envelope Maths.
I feel for those points, you'd need to have a much reduced effect - perhaps reduce the speed by 1 to a minimum of 0 , which you basically cannot do outside of a Critical Hit anyway... That would make it unique and potentially powerful, but if you don't invest in the potential, its going to go to waste.
