CF command + token

By Rettere, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

So I know you can only resolve the CF command once per activation. Which means you have to spend the dial and token simultaneously. But does the added die + reroll have to be simultaneous? For example would it be legal to take a long range shot with a hammerhead scout, roll two reds, each a hit, then use CF+token, add a dice, then reroll the added dice if it comes up blank?

The Die that is re-rolled does not necessarily have to be the die that was added.

It can be, but it does not have to be.

Its widely believed that with a Confire Dial+Token resolution, you get to add one die, and you get to reroll one die, and you can choose the order of those, as they happen during the same step of the attack (resolve attack effects)

But you couldn't resolve any other effect in between. Unless an specific timing as "when you add a die" or "when you reroll a die" is involved.

I think.

Hmm ok... related question then:

Can Dominator spend 1 shield, roll added die, then spend another shield and roll the second die?

You can only trigger Dominator once during the instance, in this case: when attacking.

So no.

Something else I've been wondering related to this: Is it a single decision window for spending the dial+token, or can you spend the dial, add the die, and then immediately decide if you also want to use the token or not?

No. You must declare if you are using dial, token or dial and token before adding or rerolling any dice.

Notice that you declare being resolving a command and in order to resolve it you must spend dial and/or token between three options available.

You cannot declare resolving a CF command spending a dial and then declare that you were resolving spending the token too.
